REGION SIX WEEKEND RESULTS

OK, we know we skipped Region Five and Texas, but we are still looking for Saturday’s Texas results. So why we wait for those, lt’s talk abour Region Six and the Slat Lake City shows.

Actually, it was South Jordan UT, where everyone parked the RVs for the four day weekend. We have reported already on Thursday’s opener of the Intermountain Kennel Club and we told you that the Papillion, CH Arkeno’s Ears To You made history Friday as the first Phaelene (drop ear Papillion) to win a BIS. Joining Cobb in judge Joe Tacker’s final were the German Short Haired Pointer, CH West Str Seamus Gunnar MCB, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH Afterglow Ebeneezer, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Phillmar Sisterella, the Smooth Fox Terrier, Slyfox Sneaks A Peek, the Fench Bulldog, CH Highwood’s Big Shot, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Bugaboo’sGeorgie Girl.

Saturday, the Utah Valley Kennel Club took over and judge Butch MacDonald collected the Weimeraner, CH Smokycity Silhouette Dbl Ur Pleasure, the Whippet, CH Sonseby’s In A Pickle, Friday’s Dobie & Smooth Fox, the Affenpinscher, CH Tamarin Tug, the American Eskimo Dog, CH Silveroak’s First & Foremost, and the Bouvier Des Flandres, CH Tiwa Josh De La Salsa.

The three year old Doberman bitch, Gracie, picked up her first BIS. Congratulations to breeders Philip Martin, Cheryl Green, & L. Sniderman Berg, owners Russell & Pam Weems & Cheryl Green, and handler Cindy Huckfeldt.

CH Mojo’s Rock’n Your World

Sunday, judge Faye Strauss lined up Saturday’s Wiemaraner, the Greyhound, Windrock Wild Sensation, the Akita’s CH Mojo’s Rock’n Your World, the Smooth Fox from before, Saturday’s Affenpinscher, Friday’s Frenchie, and the Polish Lowland Sheepdog, CH White Star’s It’s A Serius Family. Her BIS was the the country’s number one Akita, Coupe, picking up his second BIS this year.

  1. I loved the Greyhound in Sunday's BIS line up. It is all too rare to see a show greyhound that looks functional. This one was outstanding and I'd like to know more about him.
