CATCHING UP IN MARYLAND

We were so absorbed with getting out regional rankings out that we neglected to tell you about yesterday’s Catoctin Kennel Club show in West Friendship MD.

CH Dun Myrica Speaker Of Eagle

Judge Nathaniel Horn’s seven were the Flat-Coated Retriever, CH Petersfield Famous Amos, the Irish Wolfhound, CH Dun Myrica Speaker Of Eagle, the Samoyed, CH Pebble’s Run Hammy Davis Jr, the Sealyham Terrier, CH Efbe’s Merci Pour Le Poivre, the Toy Manchester Terrier, CH Burmack’s Rosie V Evrmor, the French Bulldog, CH Lucida’s Innocent Man Of Kobi, and the German Shepherd Dog, Alkara’s Puttin On The Ritz.

It was big dog day, with the biggest dog in the ring, the Wolfhound, taking home the BIS. While it is hard to over look these giants, this one has quietly worked his way up to the number two Hound spot and a top twenty all breed spot.

CH Rivergroves Trump This

Today, it was the Northeastern Maryland Kennel Club hosting and Thomas Yates judging. The Wolfhound was back in the final, as was the Sealyham. Also on hand were the German Short Haired Pointer, CH Schomberg’s One Hot Ticket Deppe-Haus, the Great Pyrenees, CH Rivergroves Trump This, the Papillion, CH Arkeno’s Ear’s To You, the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Valjean’s Miss Jayne Hathaway, and the Belgian Tervuren, CH Char-Ma’s Chosen One.

It was another big dog, the Pyrenees, Trump, muscling his way into the BIS. Trump brings a whole new definition to the term “white hot”. He has six BIS this year, all in the last two months.
