YES, VIRGINIA, THERE IS A VALLEJO

Contrary to rumor, there are shows in Vallejo this weekend and today was day one of the Coyote Hills Kennel Club’s shows.

CH Foxfire All The Gliztnglamour

Judge Rita Bell went over the English Springer Spaniel, CH Tara’s Master Of “D” Game, the 15” Beagle, CH Just-Wright The Full Monty, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Foxfire All The Gliztnglamour, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Warfox Double Exposure, the Italian Greyhound, CH Timsar Mister Moonlighter, the Chow Chow, CH Rosewine’s Rockabilli Red, and the Bouvier Des Flandres, CH Voodoo Slam Dunks Susant’s.

Her BIS was the Dobie, Jayla. The three year old bitch was bred by Michelle Santana, K Torre & J Mullins and is owned by Michelle, Sonnie Wang, & Steffii Cheng. Congratulations to them all.

THANKS FOR THE BIS

Venues do not get anymore genteel than the Ladies Kennel Association Of America in Oyster Bay NY. For those of you not familiar with the history of Long Island, Oyster Bay is part of the fabled “Gold Coast”, home to the Astors, the Vanderbilts, and a President named Roosevelt (no, not that one.. the fun one)

CH Efbe’s Merci Pour Le Poivre

However, the competition at today’s show was fierce. Lining up for judge Loraine Boutwell, the Labrador Retriever, CH Casbar’s Hart To Hart, the Afghan Hound, CH Nachtmusik’s Spirit Warrior JC, the Boxer, CH Hi-Tech’sSouthern Belle, the Sealyham Terrier, CH Efbe’s Merci Pour Le Poivre, the Miniature Pinscher, CH Kimro’s Soldier Boy, a Tibetan Terrier from the classes, Panchen’s Great Ball Of Fire, and the Briard, CH Sendero’s Simpy Irresistible.

BIS went to the Sealyham, Merci, the second all breed BIS this year for the latest from breeder Frances Bergeron and handler Margery Good. Merci is co-owned by Margery and Sandra Middlebrooks.

BURNING UP THE SHOW RING & I-40

There are other shows going on in our home state of Tennessee. The Greater Kingsport Kennel Club kicked off their weekend today with the first of two shows, some 400 miles to the east of the Jackson shows. The roads in between the two show locations are good and our daughter tells us you can make the trip in just over five hours. We know. We did the math.

CH Salty Dog Of Tampa Bay

Well, apparently Correy & Rindi Krickeberg, handlers of the Labrador Retriever, CH Salty Dog Of Tampa Bay, also found it an easy drive as well. They packed up Salty’s BIS trophy from Friday’s show in Jackson and drove up to Gray TN, got a good night’s rest and collected another BIS trophy today. This one came courtesy of Dr Steve Keating. The other finalists were the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH Westwinds Idol Simon Growl, the Bernese Mountain Dog, CH Alpenpirit’s Lion King, the Staffordshire Bull Gterrier, CH Sirius Ivan The Terri-Bull, the Italian Greyhound, CH Integra’s Purple Passion, the Schipperke, CH Nanhalls Sandpiper, and the Australian Cattle Dog, CH SF Adams The Chosen One.

Congratulations to Correy & Rindi and Salty’s breeder/owner Linda Hess.

BOXER BIS WINNER IN FL

It was a mostly local crowd at today’s Greater Fort Myers Dog Club and there were some dogs in judge Robert J Moore’s final we had not heard from before today.

CH Sabo’s Majestic Provocation

However, as we always say, you can always find quality dogs at an AKC show and today was no different. The finalists included the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Bracon's Leapin Lily Pads, the 15” Beagle, CH Quijote De La Plaza Grunauer, the Boxer, CH Sabo’s Majestic Provocation, the Parson Russell Terrier, CH Laurel Oak Shockwave, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, CH Modrian V H Lamslag RE, the Bichon Frise, CH Bodacious In Enemy Territory, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Equinox Hocus Pocus.

The Boxer, “Adam”, a four year old with an admirable show record collected the BIS, his second this year.

GWP BIS IN OHIO

The first results of the day are in and they are from the Greater Clarksburg Wv Kennel Club day two show in Marietta OH.

CH Ripsnorter’s Mt. View Lookout

Judge Houston Clark was on hand and he was greeted by a terrific final seven. They were the German Wirehaired Pinter, CH Ripsnorter’s Mt. View Lookout, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Adili’s American Idol, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Allure Blazing Star Alisaton, the American Staffordshire Terrier, CH Wonderlands Heavily Armed Agitator, Yesterday’s BIS winner the Toy Poodle, CH Smash Jp Moon Walk, the Black Standard Poodle, CH Dawn Spitfire, and the Bouvier Des Flandres, CH Quiche’s Demetrius.

With four months gone, our top ten dogs are starting to take shape and the GWP, Scout, intends to be one of them. This BIS should help. Check with us next week to see new rankings.

POODLE WALKS OFF WITH BIS IN OH

The competition was fierce in Marietta OH where the Greater Clarksburg Wv Kennel Club presented their day two show.

CH Smash Jp Moon Walk

Dr Gerard Penta saw only three of Thursday’s finalists, the BIS winner, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Allure Blazing Star Alisaton, the Smooth Foxlore Double Dare, and the Puli, CH Cordmaker Field Of Dreams. Also making it into the BIS ring were the English Springer Spaniel, CH Cerise Jesse James, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Adili's American Idol the Toy Poodle, CH Smash Jp Moon Walk, and the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Vaje’s Miss Jayne Hathaway.

The smashing Toy Poodle, Walker, added another BIS to his already impressive resume. We are not ready to declare him the country’s number one Toy Dog quite yet. Check back with us after the weekend is over.

OUT AND ABOUT

As we stated previously, we are up late at night typing away because we spent the day up the road in Jackson TN where day two of the Clarksville Kennel Club was on deck. We managed to get to the show just after start and watched several of the breed judgings as well as all of the groups and BIS.

We were pleased to see that one of our axioms still holds true. You will see outstanding dogs at every AKC event. We saw BIS winners defeated in the breed and get left out of Group placements. We also saw some outstanding dogs make it into judge Patricia Gellerman’s final.

CH Salty Dog Of Tampa Bay

They were the Labrador Retriever, CH Salty Dog Of Tampa Bay, the Rhodesian Rideback, CH Of Afrikka Spring Valley Dorian Gray JC, Thursday’s BIS winner, the Rottweiler, CH Evrmor Xtraodinaire V Stoneridge, the Lakeland Terrier, CH Hi-Kel Terrydale Soldier Of Fortune, the Pomeranian, CH Castile’s Endless Love, the Standard Poodle, CH Bar-None Dawin Travelin' Man, and the Bearded Collie, CH Brigadoon’s Just George. BIS went to the outstanding Lab, Salty, his second this year.

As always we had a ball. We appreciate all of you who took the time to seek us out and introduce yourselves. We appreciate the graciousness of all of those we sought out to introduce ourselves. Most of all we appreciate all of you who shared your dogs with us, especially Dee Germany of Shadowlands Kennels and Joan Weiskopf, co-owner and handler of the BIS winning Bedlington Terrier, CH Velvety Angel Eyes.

ROTT ON LONG ISLAND

We have another BIS by a Rottweiler to report. This one came today at the Ladies Kennel Club in Oyster Bay NY. Judge Judith Goodin tapped CH Ecko Ridge’s American Justice VVonWilhelms as her Best In Show.

CH Ecko Ridge’s American Justice VVonWilhelms

“Rudy” was accompanied in the final seven by the Labrador Retriever, CH Casbar’s Hart To Hart, the Afghan Hound, CH Cynergy’s Aviator O’R Verpatsha, the Sealyham Terrier, CH Efbe’s Merci Pour Le Poivre, the Affenpinscher, CH Velvet Dandy’s Dipsy, the Schipperke, CH De LaMer Point Break, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, CH Sandfox Destiny.

The four year old dog has been knocking at the BIS door for the last two years and now Team Rudy can add BIS in front of his name. Congratulations to breeders Patrice McAllen, M Stewart & D Nardini, owners, Denise & Robert Rosetta, and handler Jessy Sutton.

RED NECK RIVIERA RESULTS

We have one more Thursday show to report on before we tell you about today’s results. We have four shows this weekend in Biloxi MS, a Gulf Coast town known affectionately by locals as the Red Neck Riviera. We should know. Our parents honeymooned in Biloxi. Things have changed a bit since then, there are casinos and big resort hotels, but the locals are still friendly and the shrimp are still the best anywhere.

CH Donnchada Sweet Dreams

The dogs aren’t bad either. Yesterday, judge Robert E Hall had some of the best, the Golden Retiever, CH Toasty’s Treasure Island, the Afghan Hound, CH Genesis Silverado, the Boxer, CH Rummer Run's Brigadier, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, CH Moystaff Buffalo Soldier, the Papillon, CH Queen Bless JP World Idol, the Standard Poodle, CH Donnchada Sweet Dreams, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Shoal Creek's Sangria V Barick.

His BIS was the big Poodle, Patsy. While the country seems awash in black Standard Poodles, Whites are much less common. Though Patsy has been winning groups consistently, we believe this to be her first all breed BIS. Congratulations to breeders Elizabeth (Betty) Brown & Luis Sosa and owners Elizabeth Brown, Jacquelyn Cohen and Nicole Baldwin.

WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY RESULTS

We apologize for not posting results earlier today, but we promised to make a personal appearance at today’s Clarksville Kennel Club in Jackson TN. More about that later. Here are the results we have from yesterday.

CH Robobull Fabelhaft I'm On Fire

First, we had told you that the Rott, CH Evrmor Xtraodinaire v Stoneridge, opened the Jackson quartet with a BIS. His partners in the final seven were the English Springer Spaniel, CH Tiffany Esspecial Imagery, the Longhaired Dachshund, CH Xeralane's Supersonic, the Lakeland Terrier, CH Hi-Kel Terrydale Soldier Of Fortune, the Affenpinscher, CH Frolicn Handsome Hercules, the French Bulldog, CH Robobull Fabelhaft I'm On Fire, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Woodside's Pacino.

CH Allure Blazing Star Alisaton

Another Thursday show was the Blennerhassett Kennel Club in Marietta OH. Judge James White had some of the country’s biggest names in his final seven, the German Wirehaired Pointer, CH Ripsnoter's Mt View Lookout, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Adili's American Idol, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Allure Blazing Star, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Foxlorr Double Dare, the Pomeranian, CH Velocity's Shake Ur Bon Bon, the Lhasa Apso, CH My Thai Ta Sen Halleluiah Chorus, and the Puli, CH Cordmaker Field Of Dreams.

BIS went to the Dobie, CJ, catapulting her into the number one Working Dog spot and the number two all breed spot.

We’ll be back in just a moment with more results from yesterday.

FIRST TRAIN TO CLARKSVILLE

CH Evrmor Xtraodinaire v Stoneridge

We have some early returns from our the Clarksville Kennel Club in Jackson TN. Judge William Cunningham has named the Rottweiler, CH Evrmor Xtraodinaire v Stoneridge, as the weekend’s firs BIS winner. Nemo was the number two Rott in 2007, but was not campaigned heavily in 2008. However, he and owner/handler Richard Mysliwiec Jr, have been impressing judges lately. Congratulations to Rick, co-owner J Omiecinski and breeders Katie Griffiths & Janna P Morgan.

THE MORE, THE MERRIER

We love family gatherings, but we are inevitably left exhausted and susceptible to every little bug that threatens one’s health. No sooner had we put the son and his family on a plane back to California than we came down with a nasty cold. There were those prophets of doom that insisted it was the Swine Flu. The closest we’ve ever come to Swine Flu was a nasty upset stomach after ingesting one too many barbeque sandwiches and one too many beers.

Billy & Brenda Wheeler

If we are going the succumb to any animal borne illness, we insist that it be canine related, the most likely being a head injury after the wife has found out we bought another dog. Enough of the elderly indulgence of discussing one’s health. We have dog shows coming up this weekend. The first we call to your attention is a quartet of shows in Jackson TN starting tomorrow, courtesy of the Clarksville Kennel Club and the Jackson Dog Fanciers Association. Jackson is practically in our backyard and we will be on hand Friday to enjoy what we understand will be a very competitive collection of dogs. If you see a short, fat guy in the company of a tall, slender blond, that will be us with the wife. Do stop and say Hi.

There are also foursomes In Marietta OH and Biloxi MS. If you can’t get away until Friday (like us) there are triads in Cortez CO and three shows on Long Island NY (two in Oyster Bay, then Sunday in Bethpage). However, if you are a staunch supporter of tradition and believe a dog show weekend should only be one show on Saturday and one show on Sunday, you are in the majority for there will be couples only in Scarborough ME, Gray TN, Manassas VA, North Fort Meyers FL, Alexander NY, Flint MI, Greentown IN, Oshkosh WI, Gardner KS, Logan UT, Lynden WA, Vallejo CA, and Valley Center CA.

Yes, we do believe that dog shows are more fun in threes and fours. That’s just the way we were brought up. Don’t forget to look for us in Jackson TN on Friday.

REGION FIVE DETAILS

We hadn’t heard much from Region Five this weekend, just that the Golden Retriever, CH Toasty‘s Treasure Island, had posted the big win on Saturday‘s Rio Honda Kennel Club show in Albuquerque NM. We gave you some of Saturday’s finalists as well, but we now can tell you that the Bernese Mountain Dog, CH Mountair’s Genuine Draught, the Kerry Blue Terrier, CH Kallehan’s Hot N Spicy Of Jorkaite, and the Standard Poodle, Calae’s Standing Ovation, were all there.

CH Tamarin Tug

Sunday’s final was judged by Anne Bolus. Treasure was back, as were the PBGV, Afterglow Ebeneezer, the Bernese, the Affenpinscher, CH Tamarin Tug, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Bugaboo’s Georgie Girl. Making their first final appearance of the weekend were the Wire Fox Terrier, CH Kathrich Maximo $$$, and the Miniature Poodle, CH Alegria Shamus.

BIS went to the dog that loves to shock, Taser, the Affenpinscher. Always on, this little guy has five BIS so far this year.

CH Hi-Kel Terrydale Soldier Of Fortune

Elsewhere in Region Five, the Denton (TX) Kennel Club hosted a pair of shows. On Saturday judge Jan Roppolo had the English Springer Spaniel, CH Capulet's Innovation, the Basset Hound, CH Topsfield-Sanchu American Express, the Great Dane, CH Summerfield's Lady Of Hope, the Lakeland Terrier, CH Hi-Kel Terrydale Soldier Of Fortune, the Smooth Chihuahua, CH Ayrwen Star Kissed Delight, the Standard Poodle, CH Divine Rock Me Amadeus, and the Rough Collie, CH Sylvan Argent Simply Irresistible. It was the little redheaded Lakeland, Ranger, marching away with the BIS.

Sunday, Ranger, the Springer, the Chihuahua, and the Collie came back to greet judge Bradley Jenkins. Also making it to the final seven were the Saluki, CH Shahtani Ivory Moon SC, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Marienburg's Inaqui Sukiyaki, and the French Bulldog, CH Robobull Fabelhart I'm On Fire. The big trophy went to the littlest dog, the Chihuahua. Congratulations to breeders/owners Gloria & Arthur Johnson. .

REGION THREE DETAILS

Region Three had shows in two cities, Midland MI and Tallmadge OH. You already have complete results for the former, but we only had a peak atg the latter. We did report that the GWP, CH Ripsnorter's Mt View Lookout, was BIS on day one of the Ravenna Kennel Club’s shows.

CH Hillwood Dassin De Lovely

This morning we find that “Scout” was accompanied by the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Adili's American Idol, the Boxer, CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the American Staffordshire Terrier, CH Wonderlands Heavily Armed Agitator, Pug, CH Ivanwold Diva At Riversong, the Standard Poodle, CH Hillwood Dassin De Lovely, and the Puli, CH Cordmaker Fields Of Dreams.

They were joined by the English Foxhound, CH Foxhrode Thndarfmdwnunda, the Boxer, CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the Smooth FoxTerrier, CH Broxden Omega Dressed For Summer, and the Bouvier Des Flandres, CH Tim Tam Avant Garde.

BIS went to Sissy, the latest protégé of the Poodle Posse, Dr. Joseph D. Vergnetti, Ellen Charles, Karen LeFrak and Wendell Sammet. We once asked if the Poodle was a dog show cliché. When you see this dog, the word icon seems more appropriate. We’ll be right back with more results.

REGION TWO DETAILS

We only had one Region Two location going this weekend, Perry GA, but there were four shows to report on. We have already told you that the country’s number one dog, the Scottish Terrier, CH Roundtown Mercedes Of Maryscot, won three of the four offerings, losing only Thursday’s opener at the Columbus Kennel Club to the German Shepherd Dog, CH Shoal Creek’s Sangria V Barick.

CH Salty Dog Of Tampa Bay

We also gave you all the finalists from Thursday and most of Friday’s as well. We did not tell you that the Labrador Retriever, CH Salty Dog Of Tampa Bay, and the French Bulldog, Bandog Bayous Southern Belle, were also there Friday. Saturday’s finalists were the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Bracons Leapin Lily Pads, the Greyhound, Grandcru Clos Erasmus, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Sun Styles Sensation, the Pug, CH Norkus' Risky Business, the Chow Chow, CH Kelins There Can Be Only One, and the Shetland Sheepdog, CH Suntera City Life.

Sunday’s lineup included the Lab from Friday, the Afghan Hound, CH Genesis Silverado, the Doboe from Saturday, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. CH Mondrian V H Lamslagrador, and the Chow & Sheltie from Saturday. Next Region Three.

REGION ONE DETAILS

Monday is clean up day for us, the day when we fill in all the holes in our weekend reports. It gets confusing so we are going to move east to west starting with our Region One, the Northeast Region. We were able to give you complete results on this weekend’s Connecticut shows, but were only able to give you the results of Friday’s Chester Valley Kennel Club show in Ludwigs Corner PA.

CH Shenandoah Smoke and Mirrors

Saturday’s show brought judge Houston Clark together with the Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Eastern Waters Chesmates Soters JH, the Afghan Hound, CH Shenandoah Smoke and Mirrors, the Rottweiler, CH Ecko Ridges American Justice VVon Wilhelms, the Airedale Terrier, CH Stirling Cool Hand Luke, the Italian Greyhound, CH Honore’s Liyl-Belle, the Shiba Inu, CH Banshou Go Ryuukyuu Uruma, Belgian Sheepdog, CH La Neige’s A Kodak Moment.

For the second time this weekend we are delighted to report a BIS by the breed that brought us into the game 40 years ago, the Afghan Hound. The five year old dog has been a top five Afghan for the last two years, but we believe this is his first all breed BIS. Congratulations to breeders Luke Guerrero, Hank Nave, Denise & Jerry Willeford and owners Wendy Slowe & L M Guerrero, and handler Norm Fargo.

Sunday the action moved to Lebanon PA under the Auspices of the Lancaster Kennel club. Judge Toddie (Mrs. Houston) Clark had some of the same dogs to consider as her husband. Returning to the BIS ring were Saturday‘s winner, the Afghan, the Airedale, and the Belgian Sheepdog. Also on hand were the English Springer Spaniel, CH Cerise Jesse James, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Allure Blazing Star Alisaton, the Pekingese, CH Lin-Lee’s For The Good Times, and the Schipperke, CH DeLamer’s Overboard.

And Mrs. Clark agreed with her husband that it was the weekend for the Afghan. Bravo for the back to back BIS. Next up, Region Two details.

BACK TO BACK IN IL

Remember when we were talking about the Nordic breeds weren’t getting their fair share of BIS? Well now we here that the Alaskan Malamute, CH Sno Klassics Play The Game, has won back to Back Best In Shows in Rock Island IL this weekend.

CH Sno Klassics Play The Game

Saturday Laura King had the lead on Saturday. She was joined in judge ring by the English Cocker Spaniel, CH Sweet Apple Sir Prize, the American Foxhound, CH Devlon’s Fame And Fortune, the Parson Russell Terrier, CH Star Valley Double Trouble, the Pomeranian, CH Char’s Bringin’ Sexy Back, the Schipperke, CH Dante‘s Fire When Ready HOF, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Woodside Pacino.

It’s getting pretty hot for these Nordic breeds.

NEW DOG2WATCH

CH Catanya’s Latin Lover

Day two of the Camelia Capital Kennel Club is in the books. Today, judge Jane Treiber saw yesterday’s winner, the English Setter, CH Artizoe High Caliber, the Basset Hound Blossomhil’s Mamma Mia, the Alaskan Malamute, CH Catanya’s Latin Lover, the Kerry Blue Terrier, CH Perrisblu Paris, the Havanese, CH Bellatak My Funny Valentine, the Dalmatian, CH Tramac Just Walk’n On Sunshine, and the Bouvier Des Flandres, CH Voodoo Slam Dunks Susant’s.

Her BIS was the Malamute, Ricky. It was just two weeks ago that handler Mike Stone piloted Ricky to his first BIS. What can we say but, DOG2WATCH?

LEARN FROM THE BEST

Spectators at today’s Klamath Falls (OR) Kennel Club show were treated to both some iconic breed representatives and some fresh new faces.

CH Randenn Tristar Affirmation

Judge Gregory Anderson assembled the Golden Retriever, CH Dalane Dozaki Buckingham’s Pride, the Pharaoh Hound, CH Nefer-Temu Mia Sambasonic JC, the Akita CH Mojo’s Rock’n Your World, the American Staffordshire Terrier, CH Masterbolt IOU Gold, the Affenpinscher, CH Pramada’s Naughty Natalie, the Standard Poodle, CH Randenn Tristar Affirmation, and the Bouvier Des Flandres, CH Avalons Frontier Sleepnlady Webber.

And the rookies got a master class in Best In Show from the winningest Black Poodle in history. We never tire of saying that.

THREE MORE FOR SADIE

CH Roundtown Mercedes Of Maryscot

We’ve heard from a reader that the Scottish Terrier, CH Roundtown Mercedes Of Maryscot, took home the BIS trophies on both Saturday and Sunday from the Macon Kennel Club shows. That makes it three out of four this weekend for Sadie and handler Gabriel Rangel. Can anyone catch this red hot duo?

WOODLAND CA REPORTING IN

We do have results from yesterday’s Camelia Kennel Club show in Woodland CA.

CH Artizoe High Caliber

Dr Sofia Kaluzniacki had the judges book and her finalists were the English Setter, CH Artizoe High Caliber, the Basset Hound, CH Blossomhil’s Mamma Mia, the Alaskan Malamute, CH Catanya’s Latin Lover, the Kerry Blue Terrier, CH Perrisblu Paris, the Pug, CH O-Day Mystical Klondike, the French Bulldog, CH LeBull’s Midnight Confession, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, CH Caamora All Dolled Up PT.

BIS went to the country’s number two English Setter, Hector. That’s the second this year for him.

NO REST FOR SHOW MANAGERS

We don’t quite understand how some clubs can get their results in within minutes of the show closing and others think they have to rest on the seventh day and send results in Monday. Dog Show fans want those results now!

CH Ripsnorter’s Mt View Lookout

We do know that the winner of yesterday’s Ravenna Kennel Club show in Tallmadge OH was the German Wirehaired Pointer, CH Ripsnorter’s Mt View Lookout, and we do know that Group was represented by the Puli, CH Cordmaker Field Of Dreams.

We will keep working the lines to get you more results.

PUPPY CLASS BIS

It’s every breeder’s dream. You take a promising puppy to a local show and you go home with a BIS. That’s the way it went today for the Rough collie, Donnybrooke’s Mallorca, who came out of the 9-12 month puppy class to win his first Group and his first all breed BIS.

Donnybrooke’s Mallorca

It happened today at the Windham County Kennel Club in CT. Also vying for judge Edeltraud Laurin’s attention were the Brittany, the Tonan-Hope's R U Kiddin' Me, the Pharoah Hound, CH Hallam’s Gysai Kali, the Alaskan Malamute, CH Nanuke’s Still The One, the Irish Terrier, CH Fleet St Fenway Fan, the King Chales & Ruby English Toy Spaniel, CH Southdown Nonetheless, and the French Bulldog, CH Shore Lookin’ Good.

Congratulations to “Nadal”, and his breeders/owners Barbara Linder & Cheryl Allerton. Now that’s what we call the perfect Mothers’ Day gift!

BULLDOG BITCH IN MICHIGAN

We have an incredibly prompt report form today’s Midland Michigan Kennel Club show.

CH Kepley’s Showbiz Razzle Dazzle

Judge Charlotte Patterson had a group that would make any mother proud, the English Setter, CH Kasaka’s Caputer The Moment, the Greyhound, CH Gaia Elfin Dance, the Great Dane, CH Sasdania;s The Prophecy, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, the Pomeranian, CH Velocity’s Shake Ur Bon Bon, the Bulldog, CH Kepley’s Showbiz Razzle Dazzle, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Lambluv’s Razzle Dazzle.

It was the aptly named Bulldog picking up her fifth BIS, one more than her 2008 total.

HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY

For the first time in our lives, Brenda and I have both our mothers, both our children, and our granddaughter with us on Mothers’ Day. We hope all of you out there are also having a wonderful Mothers’ Day.

CH Toasty’s Treasure Island

There are some proud parents out in Albuquerque NM attending the Rio Honda Kennel Club. Saturday Roger Hartinger gave the country’s number one Sporting Dog, the Golden Retriever, CH Toasty’s Treasure Island, the BIS. Again, we don’t know all the finalist, but we can tell you that the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH Afterglow Ebeneezer, the Affenpinshcer, CH Tamarin Tug, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Bugaboo’s Georgie Girl, were all on hand.
