The Affenpinscher, CH Tamarin Tug, did an encore in San Antonio today taking his second BIS in as many days in San Antonio TX.  His fellow finalists in G Timothy Doxtater’s ring at the Comal County Kennel Club show were the English Springer Spaniel, CH Wil-Orion Twenty Twenty, the Afghan Hound, CH Genesis Silverado, CH Cammcastle's Friar Tuck, the Skye Terrier, CH Cragsmoor Buddy Goodman, the Tibetan Terrier, CH Sunclipse Mystique, and the Briard, CH Celebratia VintageEightyFour.  Does anybody know the all breed BIS record for Affenpinschers?

REPEAT PERFORMANCE IN NEW YORK

Day three of four in Stockton NY saw Paula Hartinger in the final ring of the Conewango Valley Kennel Club’s day two show with the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, CH Fireside’s Spontaneous Combustion, the 15” Beagle CH Torquay Be Nice To Me, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Jaroe Legend Of Irish Spirit, the Scottish Terrier, CH Blueberry‘s Surely You Jest, the Affenpinscher, CH Banana Joe TaniKazari, a French Bulldog from the 9-12 Puppy Dog Class, Foxmoor Jouet Le Petite Cherie, and yesterday’s BIS winner, the German Shepherd Dog, CH Kridler’s Nutmeg V Signature.   It was a repeat performance for the GSD, Meg, another great Shepherd from Jimmy Moses.

AKITA BEST IN MASSACHUSETTS

GCH Nakodo's Reign Of Glory

New England resident Raymond V Filburn Jr had the judge’s book at today’s North Shore Kennel Club show in Topsfield MA.  His final seven were the Vizsla, CH Cinnabar Aldebaran Epiphany, the Scottish Deerhound, CH Gayleward’s Jaraluv Nike, the Akita GCH Nakodo's Reign Of Glory, the Cairn Terrier, CH Malverston’s Double Dutch, the King Charles & Ruby English Toy Spaniels, CH Soutdown Nonetheless,  the Standard Poodle, CH Hillwood Dassin Shut Up N’Dance, and the Briard, CH Fairytale’s Balthazar Le Sage.  His Best was the Akita, Echo.  It was the second BIS this year for Echo and handler Paul Levesque, both coming during the last 30 days.

SATURDAY IN OHIO

CH Mountain Crest U Don’t Own Me

Another club giving us two days of traditional weekend is the Echo Hills Kennel Club Of Ohio who hosted their first show today in Troy OH.  Rick Gschwender had BIS duty and his pick of the Pointer, CH Terrapointe I Got It Made, the Greyhound, CH Gaia Elfin Dance, the Boxer, CH Shaledar Simply Decadent, the West Highland White Terrier, CH Dawn’s Stirrin’ Up Trouble RN SE NJP NAJ, the Pomeranian, CH Mountain Crest U Don’t Own Me, the Standard Poodle, CH Jaset’s Satisfaction, and the Canaan Dog, CH Pleasant Hill Magnum Of Samara.  His picked the Pom, Buster Boy, as his Best.  Mark that as number three this year for the two year old and handler Nina Fetter.

One of our new starts today is in Waynesville NC with the Western Carolina Dog Fanciers Association.  Carol Beattie’s final was graced by the Irish Setter, CH Militza’s SomethingRoyal, a Whippet from the classes, Ableaim Patent Pending, the Siberian Husky, CH Indigo’s Hilltop Istate, the Scottish terrier, CH Charthill Power Broker, the Pomeranian, CH Her Majesty’s Wishing Upon A Star, the Bichon Frise, CH Riane’s GloryB Stepping Out In Style, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Imp-Cen Rowland's Tough Love.  Best went to the almost ten year old Irish Setter bitch.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Roger & Tracy McNeal and owners Kenneth R Wall & Joel D Fisher.

MALTESE BIS IN MICHIGAN

CH Seabreeze Caribbean Sun Calling

Back in 1971, after finishing college, we moved to New York, leaving behind our first show dog, the family’s St Bernard.  After a year of dogless apartment dwelling, we decided we had to have a dog to share our new urban existence and acquired a Maltese puppy from the lovely Gwen Holbrook of Gwenbrook Dobermans and Maltese in Glen Cove NY out on the Island.  We showed Maltese in New York and California for the next seven years.

To this day we love to see a Maltese go BIS, floating like a cloud amongst the larger dogs.  Yesterday in Traverse City MI, the Maltese, CH Seabreeze Caribbean Sun Calling, was June Penta’s Best at the Grand Traverse Kennel Club show.  Sunny’s six larger competitors were the Golden Retriever, CH Summmits Emery It’s In The Bag, the American Foxhound, CH Devlon’s Fame And Fortune, the Great Pyrenees, CH Elridge’s First Reign, the Wire Fox Terrier, Aljamar Dealin With The Devil, the French Bullodg, CH Evergreen’s Lavish Looks, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Lambluv Gambolon Blue Thunder.  It’s Sunny’s second all breed Best In Show this year.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Sandy Bingham-Porter and handler Daryl Martin.

DAY TWO IN STOCKTON NY

We bounce back to the East to cover the Conewango Valley Kennel Club show in Stockton NY where Roger Hartinger had the difficult choice of choosing a Best from the Irish Setter, CH Shadagee Caught Red Handed, the 15” Beagle CH Torquay Be Nice To Me, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Mi-Ti’s Three Cheers, the American Staffordshire Terrier, CH Castle Rock's SBigStaff Mad About You, yesterday’s BIS winner, the Affenpinscher, CH Banana Joe TaniKazari, the Lowchen, CH Chic Choix Bihar Cuba, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Kridler’s Nutmeg V Signature.   The GSD, Meg, was there to pick up her second Best In Show of the year.

DAY TWO IN GRIDLEY CA

The Shasta Kennel Club held theird second show in Gridley CA today with William Bergum doing BIS.  His seven were the German Shorthaired Pointer, CH Robin Crest Great Expectations , the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH Soletrader Donald Duck, the Alaskan Malamute, CH Catanya’s Latin Lover, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Slyfox Sneaks A Peek, the Brussels Griffon, CH Cashin‘s Walk The Line, the Bichon Frise, CH PaRay Rime Time, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, CH Segni At Coventry.   His Best was the Malamute, Ricky.  Ricky and handler Mike Stone now have four all breed BIS, three  of which have come in the last three weeks.

DAY FOUR OF SIX IN IDAHO

The wandering herd checks in from Blackfoot ID where the Pocattela Kennel Club had Elliot Weiss doing their day two show.  He had the option of yesterday’s BIS winner, the German Wirehaired Pointer, CH Ripsnorter’s Mt View Loookout, the Black & Tan Coonhound, CH Silver Ridge Showtyme At Windbourne, the Tibetan Mastiff, CH Seng Khri Bartok Of Dawa, the Smooth Fax Terrier, CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, the Pekingese, CH Dunkirk Copyright, the American Eskimo Dog, CH Silveroaks First & Foremost, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Avalon Frontier Sleepnlady Webber.   It was the Coonhound, Tess, winning her second BIS of the year.

FRIDAY IN SAN ANTONIO

The Bexar County Kennel Club had Friday duty in San Antonio TX and they asked Barbara Dempsey Alderman to choose a Best from the English Cocker Spaniel, CH Nonnies Deja Vu, the Wirehaired Dachshund, CH RaydachsPlaying with Fire V Gleishobach SW, the Rottweiler, CH Cammcastle's Friar Tuck, the Skye Terrier, CH Cragsmoor Buddy Goodman, the Affenpinscher, CH Tamarin Tug, the Standard Poodle, CH Dawin Spitfire, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Copperridges's Fire N Bayouland.   Her BIS was our friend these last three seasons, the Affenpinscher, Taser. That gives Taser and handler Jorge Olivera four BIS this year.

BEARDIE BREED RECORD IN SIGHT

CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins

The Bearded Collie, CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins, got one BIS closer to the all time breed record of 35, collecting Best number 29 at today’s North Shore Kennel Club show in Topsfield MA.  Also in Robert Naun’s final were the CH Tempo's U'Ve Got What Gets Me, the Norwegian Elkhound, CH Somerri Dunharrow's Devil Ray, the St Bernard, CH Mickey III, the Miniature Pinscher, CH Kimro's Soldier Boy, and the Tibetan Terrier, CH Atisha's Vsop Courvoisier.  Roy and handler Cliff Steel are within a hair of the Number One Herding Dog and a Top Ten Dog All Breeds spot.

DAY THREE IN IDAHO

CH Ripsnorter’s Mt View Lookout

The Idaho oddessy moved to Blackfoot yesterday with day one of the Pocatello Kennel Club.  Stephen Hubbell gathered the German Wirehaired Pointer, CH Ripsnorter’s Mt View Lookout, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Regulus Speeding Bullet, the Portuguese Water Dog, CH Aviator's Luck Be A Lady, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH j’Cobe Kemosbe Vigilante Justice, the Pekingese, CH Dunkirk Copyright, the Schipperke, CH Bonchien Mr Monopoly, the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Avalon's Frontier Sleepnlady Webber.  His BIS was the GWP, Scout.  Scout collected his 28th career BIS, eight of which came this year.

DAY ONE OF FOUR IN GRIDLEY CA

Out in Gridley CA the Shasta Kennel Club hosted the first of four shows in that quaint town 60 miles north of Sacramento.  Today’s final featured BIS judge Dawn Hansen with the German Shorthaired Pointer, CH Robin Crest Great Expectations , the Whippet, CH Starline’s Chanel, the Alaskan Malamute, CH Catanya’s Latin Lover, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Slyfox Sneaks A Peek, the Pomeranian, CH Powerpom High Performance, the Tibetan Terrier, CH Ashlyn Excalibur Panda Of Ivyglenn, and the Bearded Collie, CH Willowisp Never Say Never.  It was the Pom, Calvin, picking up his second BIS this year. 

FIRST OF FOUR IN UPSTATE NY

Up in Stockton NY, near Lake Erie, the Olean Kennel Club kicked off the four day set with Keke Kahn doing the first final.  She had her pick of the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, CH Fireside’s Spontaneous Combustion, the Torquay Midnight Confession, the Great Pyrenees, CH Pyrless Stilistic Law-Order, the Scottish Terrier, CH, Blueberry Surely You Jest. The Affenpinscher, CH Banana Joe Van TaniKazari, the Keeshond, CH Darkenwald Cavalier O' SouthCar, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Kridler's Nutmeg V Signature.  Her BIS was the Affenpinscher, Joe.  Joe and handler Ernesto Lara have been regular fixtures in eastern finals and have scored two top prizes in the last week.  Is it too early to talk about coming from behind?

SAN ANTONIO DAY ONE

Our first show report of the evening comes from San Antonio Texas where the Comal County Kennel Club opened a four day stay.  We don’t have the names of all the finalists, but we do know that Donald Emslie’s final included the English Springer Spaniel, CH Wil-Orion Twenty Twenty, the Pharaoh Hound, CH Northgate's As You Like It, the Alaskan Malamute, CH.Shekinah Pure In Heart, the Norwich Terrier, CH Skyscots Poker Chip, the Shih Tzu, CH Hallmark Jolei Austin Powers, the Staqndard Poodle, CH Dawin Spitfire, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Copperridges's Fire N Bayouland.  BIS went to the Norwich, Pokey.  We have that as five this year for Pokey and handler Brenda Combs.

We have the day two results from Filer ID & the Snake River Canyon Kennel Club Of Idaho.  BIS judge was Nancy Byrd and her final seven were the Flat Coat Retriever, CH Blacklace Magic Mocha Sapphire, the Whippet, CH Starline’s Chanel, the Boxer, CH Duba Dae‘s Who‘s Your Daddy, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, the Silky Terrier, CH Barb-B's Tawnymist Topias, the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Vaje's Miss Jayne Hathaway, and the Rough Collie, CH Gentry‘s Braveheart.  Her Best was the Whippet, Chanel.  Chanel is currently the country’s Number Six Dog All Breeds, a title she is likely to improve upon before the week is out.

THE SHOW WEEK HAS BEGUN

While we compiling last weekend’s statistics our tireless exhibitors were starting this week’s round of shows.  Today the Snake River Canyon Kennel Club Of Idaho held their first of two shows in Filer ID.  Jane Forsyth’s finalists included the Pointer, CH Tahari's To Wild To Be Serious, the Whippet, CH Starline’s Chanel, the Boxer, CH R And G's Mystical Dancer, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, the Silky Terrier, CH Barb-B's Tawnymist Topias, the American Eskimo Dog, CH Silveroaks First & Foremost, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Avalon Frontier Sleepnlady Webber.  Her Best was the Bouvier, Webber.  It’s the fourth BIS this year for Webber and handler Larry Fenner. 

The fun in Filer continues through tomorrow and will begin again on Thursday in Blackfoot ID where the Pocatello Kennel Club and the Eagle Rock Kennel Club will team for four shows.  That’s a lot of chances to pick up points.

THUNDER STRIKES TWICE IN PUYALLUP

Our last stop of the day is in Puyallup WA for the two shows sponsored by the Puyallup Valley Dog Fanciers & the Tacoma Kennel Club.  The big story here was the four year old Pomeranian, CH Valcopy Jamel Lets Rumble, winning his first BIS and following it with the back2back BIS.  Saturday the PVDF had Derek Hyde with the Pom, the Irish Setter, CH Kaerdon's Just Tickled Pink JH, the Greyhound, CH Helios Foxglove Athear, the Siberian Husky, CH Karnovanda Tenzing, the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, CH Doubloon's Salt of the Earth, the Boston Terrier, CH Zuran's Me & My Shadow, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. CH Winsorcastle's Foxlor Tymless.

Sunday the TKC and Peter Baynes saw the Pom, the previously named Whippet & Boston Terrier, the Labrador Retriever, Quail Run's Kindred Spirit, the Newfoundland, CH Bigdogfarm Oh My Baby Huey, the Scottish Terrier, CH McVan's Sentimental Journey, and the Australian Cattle Dog, CH Carben Copy's If The Shoe Fits.  We don't know where "Thunder" has been hiding, but we hope we see more of him in the future. Congratulations to breeders Dana L Plonkey, Janice Perdue, & Ron & Merilyn Smith, and owners Dana Plonkey & Judy Paris. 

FLAGSTAFF AZ RESULTS

The Flagstaff (AZ) Kennel Club followed the week’s theme holding two shows in their hometown.  Saturday saw Tomas Gomez in a final with the Golden Retriever, CH Eldorado's Promises D' Best H3X, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Pupukearidge Ikaika O Sprngvly, the Samoyed, CH Cold Mountain's Tug At My Heart, the Welsh Terrier, CH Malvado Dust Devil, the Smooth Chihuahua, CH Lugari Holiday Rocco, the Bulldog, CH Undeniabull's Why So Serious, and the Rough Collie, CH Gentry’s Brave Heart.  It was the smallest among them, the Chihuahua, Rocco.  That’s six for DOG2WATCH Rocco and handler Paula Murray, all since the end of March.

Sunday Only the Ridgeback & Sammie made it back to pleas their case with Harold Brizee.  Their fellow finalists were the Parti Cocker Spaniel, CH Windsor 18k Rolls Royce, the Kerry Blue Terrier, CH Trozian Onyx At Torum, the Pomeranian, CH Horizon's A Fly On The Wall, the Shiba Inu, CH Copperdots Rexlas Kaching, and the Briard, CH Celebratia Vintageeightyfour.  Once again, it was the little guy, the Pom, Wally. Getting the nod.  We believe this is his first BIS.  Congratulations to breeder Laurie Otis, owners  Ron & Merilyn Smith & Krystal Morris, and handler Curtiss G Smith.

CH Bugaboo’s Georgie Girl

With over 3000 dogs entered at its two shows, the Colorado Springs Kennel Club drew many of the nation’s top dogs this weekend,  On Saturday Jim Reynolds had her pick of the Gordon Setter, CH Firethorn And Sandpiper Easy On The Eyes, the Whippet, CH Starline’s Chanel, the Alakan Malamute, CH Adair'n'Hug S Wonderful Life, the Border Terrier, CH Meadowlake Whistler At Amberly, the Havanese, CH D'VA's Spellbound In Motion, the Bulldog, CH Calees The Skye Is The Limit, and trhe Old English Sheepdog, CH Bugaboo’s Georgie Girl.  And it was the OES, Georgie, collecting yet another BIS, her eleventh.

On Sunday the Whippet, Bulldog, & the OES returned to see Edd Bivin along with the German Shorthair Pointer, CH Fieldfines Pure Gold, the Portuguese Water Dog, CH Spyglass's Legend of Bahai, the Bedlington Terrier, CH First Class Bad Bad Leroy Brown, and the Toy Manchester Terrier, CH Evrmor's Ruby Of Burmack.  His choice was the country’s Number One Hound, the Whippet, Chanel.  We have that as her twelfth in 2010.

In Wheaton IL the hometown club staged a pair of shows starting with Christine Calcinari with the Brittany, CH Star Flight Jumpin Jack Flash OA NAJ, the Whippet, CH Kamada's Instant Millionaire, the Samoyed, CH Polar Mist War Admiral, the Norwich Terrier, CH Huntwood's Joy Ride Of Moorcroft, the Blenheim & Prince Charles English Toy Spaniel, CH Royalist Ready To Reign, the Kesshond, CH Daimler's Caviar Dreams, and the Belgian Sheepdog, CH Uri De Beauvoir.  It was the Sammie, Riker, taking home the heavy silver. It’s Riker’s second of the year.

On Sunday Marilyn Mayfield greeted the aforementioned Toy Spaniel & Belrgian Sheepdog, the Clumber Spaniel, CH Clussex See You Later Alligator, the American Foxhound, CH Kelly MT All American, the Rottweiler, CH Cammcastle's Friar Tuck, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, CH CH Angranian Derry Mucker, and the Boston Terrier, CH Annalee Told Ya So.  Her Best was the winner of this year’s Rottweiler National,  Tux.  That’s number five this year.

CANTON OHIO RESULTS

CH Meadowlake Overnight Celebrity

In Canton OH the McKinley Kennel Club gave us two shows Saturday & Sunday.   The first featured Dr Edna Martin with the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Lehi's Crystal Ball At BluRiver, the Scottish Deerhound, CH Lehigh- Darkwynd Enella, the Great Pyrenees, CH Saddle Ridge Power Of Won, the Border Terrier. CH Meadowlake Overnight Celebrity, the Toy Fox Terrier, Valcopy C-Lyn Dracula, the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH Chaoyangs Take It To Limit, and the Rough Collie, CH Upper East Silver Moon.  BIS went to the Cocker, the first for the two year old.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Heidi Armour and fellow owners  Barbara & Neil Guyer & Ann Morgante.

On Sunday, only the Border Terrier and Shar-Pei returned to see Meredith Johnson-Snyder.  Making their first final of the weekend were the Golden Retriever, CH Goodtime's I Rest My Case, the American Foxhound, CH Hewly Camilla, the Giant Schnauzer, CH Skansen's Sir August Briggs, the Blenheim & Prince Charles English Toy Spaniel, and the Australian Shepherd. Legacy's Bold Venture.  It was the Border Terrier, Carrie picking up her second BIS in as many weekends.  Could this be the start of something big?

We did tell you that the nation’s Number One Dog All Breeds, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, picked up the top prize at Saturday’s Mt Pleasant Michigan Kennel Club show.  Well, he did it again on Sunday.  His companbions in Evie Sullivan’s final were the Brittany, CH Shelttany Against All Odds, the Scottish Deerhound, CH Foxcliffe Hickory Wind, the Bernese Mountain Dog, CH Adesa's Pushing The Limit, the Smooth Chihuahua, CH Ayrwen Star Kissed Delight, the Standard Poodle, CH Dawin Spitfire, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Aryakas Hermes.  Dodger now has 29 BIS this year.

The Paducah Kennel Club hosted a weekend in their Kentucky hometown this weekend.  On Saturday it was Walter Sommerfelt Brittany, CH Liberties American Sweetheart, the Saluki, CH Sandstorm Blue Nile Bubbles Of Jatara, the Bernese Mountain Dog, CH Bernherrs The Caretaker Of Ayehil, the Border Terrier. CH Devon Lady Simper Fi, the Pomeranian. CH Chars I Wanta Talk About Me, the Boston Terrier. CH Katbirds Brilliant Constellation, and the Smooth Collie, CH Sunnland’s Grand Entrance HIC.   His BIS was the Pom, Scoop.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Charlotte Meyer.

Sunday, Only the Border Terrier & Smooth Collie would return for Gary Doerge’s final.  Joining them were the Pointer, CH Solivias Walk In The Clouds, the Irish Wolfhound, CH Ansa Mo Merlin D"eirinn, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Ravenswoods N Vonduras Relentless, the Yorkshire Terrier, CH Stringers Somethings Gotta Give, and the Chow Chow. CH Northwinds Il Divo.  Best went to the Smooth Collie, Greta.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Blair & Marie Mullin, owner Sue Ellen Miller & owner/handler Diane Steele.

One place we didn’t heara from over the weekend was Fisherville VA where the Skyline Kennnel Club gave us two shows.  On Saturday it was Skip Herendeen with the English Springer Spaniel, CH Cerise Tender Is The Night, the Basenji, CH Eldorado N Akuba Never Surrender, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Mi-Ti’s Three Cheers, the Miniature Schnauser, CH Earthsong Remedy For The Blues, the Affenbinscher, CH Banana Joe Van Tanikazari, the Chow Chow, CH Liontamer Dial 1-800-Hotstuff, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Brimar’s Always Mandrake HT.  His Best was the Springer, Zelda.  We  believe this is the first BIS for Zelda.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Dorothy Cherry, owner Donna Herzig, handler Howard Huber Jr.

Sunday, Carol Kniebusch Noe saw the same Springer, Schnauzer, Afffenpinscher, & Bouvier, the American Foxhound, CH Kiarry’s Walking On Sunshine, the Rottweiler, CH Gamegard’s Rhythm Of  The Rain, and the Bichon Frise, CH Risgae’s Duke Of Wessex.  It was the Dutch import, the Affenpinscher, Joe.  Picking up his second AKC BIS.

We had an exciting weekend with some new faces amongst our more familiar faces.  Our first report today is from Yorktown Heights NY where the Longshore-Southport Kennel Club closed the four day set with Sharon Lyons choosing a Best from the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. CH Fireside's Spontaneous Combustion, the Qirehaired Dachshund. CH Treis Pinheiros Starbarrack Kent, the Black Russian Terrier, CH Kamila @ Aristes S Nadezhdonoi Poljany, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Foxlorr Double Dare, the King Charles & Ruby English Toy Spaniel, CH Southdown Nonetheless, the Keeshond, CH Darkenwald Cavalier O'SouthCar, and the Bearded Collie, CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.   It was the Beardie, Roy, grabbing the BIS.  It’s Best number 13 this year for Roy and handler Cliff Steele.

PWD BIS IN CA

CH Aviator‘s Luck Be A Lady

With over 5000 points available this weekend the four shows in Vallejo CA offered exhibitors a chance to move up in the rankings.  Today it was Elizabeth Muthard in the final ring for the Contra Costa Kennel Club.  She had her pick of the the Weimaraner, CH Silhouettes LifeInTheFastLane, the Elkhound Hound, CH Vin-Melca's Voyager, the Portuguese Water Dog, CH Aviator‘s Luck Be A Lady, the Welsh Terrier, CH Darwyn's I'm Not Arguing That , the Pomeranian, CH Powerpom High Performance, the Keeshond, CH Windrift's Dance To The Music, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, CH Baewyn Telltail Smooth Operator.  BIS belonged to President Obama’s favorite breed, the PWD, Ladybug.  We understand that Ladybug and handler Amy Rutherford are closing in on a breed record.  This gives them seven this year.

Anne Hearn closed it out in Lake Charles LA for the Calcasieu Kennel Club today with the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, a Redbone Coonhound, CH CWSG CCH Sidearm Jungle King Mufasa, the Boxer, CH Winfall I Dream Of Style, the Wire Fox Terrier, CH Dalriada’s Mystic, the Shih Tzu, CH Wenrick’s Best Bet N’ Palaquins, the Lhasa Apso, CH My Thai Ta Sen Halleluiah Chorus, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Kridler's Nutmeg V Signature.   BIS went to the Cocker, Beckham, his second of the weekend, leaving him & handler Linda Pitts close to a top five spot.

CH Ripsnorter’s Mt View Lookout

Day two in Jordan MN with the Lake Minnetonka Kennel Club saw Dr Alvin W Krause with the German Wirehaired Pointer, CH Ripsnorter’s Mt View Lookout, yesterday BIS winner, the American Foxhound, CH Devlon’s Fame And Fortune, the Great Pyrenees,     CH Pyrpressure L'Orgueil,    the Cairn Terrier, CH Maverston Double Dutch, the Shih Tzu, Ista's Hurricain Chaser, the Miniature Poodle, Nevskaja Zhemchuzhina Issol Impresario, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Lambluv Gambolon Blue Thunder.   His Best was the GWP, Scout.  Scout & handler Frank Murphy have been a fixture in the Top Ten Dogs All Breeds for the last two years.  We have this as lucky number seven this year.

Our first results today are from Fletcher NC where the Welsh Terrier, CH Bayleigh Shaireab Super Hero, has posted back2back BIS, winning both the Ashville Kennel Club’s offerings.   On Saturday, Spyder and handler Jorge Olivera, were challenged by the German Wirehaired Pointer, CH Star K’s Mile Hi Valentine, the Whippet, CH Sporting Field’s Bahama Sands, the Rottweiler, CH Von Hoffman's Antsy Prance , the Pekingese, CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, CH Legacy Legend's Run For The Triple Crown before getting the nod from Barbara Dempsey Alderman.

Sunday, it was Dr John C Shelton who chose Spyder after considering the same Whippet & Peke, the Golden Retriever, CH Hillock Honeybear’s Purple Pizzazz, the Siberian Husky, CH Indigo’s Hilltop Istate, the Bulldog, CH Fairytale’s Rock Legend Elvis, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Myshara’s Dream Girl.  That’s makes five all breed Bests for Spyder this year and is good enough to move him into the Number Three Terrier spot.

CH J'Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice

The Mt Pleasant Michigan Kennel Club hosted yesterday’s show in their hometown, asking Robert Slay to choose a Best In Show from the Brittany, CH Shelttany Against All Odds, the Scottish Deerhound,    CH Foxcliffe Hickory Wind, the Siberian Husky, CH Karnovanda's Academy Award, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH J'Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, the Toy Poodle, CH Tropical's Charm My Heart, the Standard Poodle, CH Dawin Spitfire, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Myshara's Dancing Queen.  His BIS was the country’s Number One Dog All Breedes, the Smooth Fox, Dodger.  Dodger & owner/handler Amy Booth have held that spot for the past several months the hard way, by winning nearly twice as many BIS as any body else.  It’s called consistency.

The New York crowd spent Saturday in Norwalk CT for the Greenwich Kennel Club show  where BIS judzge Pluis Davern had her pick of the Vizla, CH Kezdet’s Grand Mark Gedeon JH, the Whippet, Rideout’s I Saw You First, the Boxer, Jaquet’s Touch Of Magic Of Cardale, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Foxlorr Double Dare, the King Charles & Ruby English Toy Spaniel, CH Southdown Nonetheless, the Bulldog, CH Kepley’s Showbiz Razzle Dazzle, and the Bearded Collie, CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.  Her Best was the Vizla, Gedeon.  The win makes him the Number One Vizla all systems.  Congratulations to breeders Darlene Erschen, Judy S Vernon-Saddlemire, & Barry Golob, owner Natalie Russo, & handler Allesandra Folz.
