NORTH TO ALASKA

GCH CH Silveroak’s First & Foremost

We have slogged through rain, mud, snow, and ice to get to a dog show, but we have to tip our hats to the hardy exhibitors who braved an Alaskan winter to attend this weekend’s Kenai Kennel Club & Alaska Kennel Club shows in Anchorage AK.   We think it’s appropriate that the KKC BIS went to 2010’s Number One American Eskimo Dog, GCH CH Silveroak’s First & Foremost.   Joining Primo in William Robert Russell Jr’s final were the Spinoni Italiano, CH Vericool L’Arte Della Leggenda, the Basset Hound, CH Sasquatch Double Exposure, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Tamarack’s Just Jammin, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Kemosabe Rodeo Rider, the Toy Poodle, McKay’s Rhinestone Cowgirl, and the Rough Collie, CH Susitina Royal Strider Of Tara Dells.

Primo finished 2010 with one BIS and 14 Non Sporting Group top prizes.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Ruth Sampson and handler Randy Benns.

Toiabe First Impression

Sunday’s BIS was called  by Doris Cozart.  Among her seven were Primo and the abovementioned Basset & Poodle, the  Irish Setter, CH Irish Tales Playboy, the Great Dane, CH Jaya N Danemark’s High Hopes, the Colored Bull Terrier, CH Magor The Minotaur From Stonebull, and the German Shepherd Dog, Toiabe First Impression HSAdsc.  She chose the GSD, Toiabe, as her Best.  It’s the first BIS for the three year old.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Rosemary Joralemon and Sandy Moore.
