WE HAVE SHOWS EVERYWHERE!

 Today's Weather

We are a day behind after dodging tornados to return home to Memphis from Washington DC, but we now have our dog show week forecast for you.  We have our busiest week so far this year with 40 all breed shows in 17 venues.  The fun is already underway in Lewisburg WV where the Beckley West Virginia Kennel Club opened the four day set they share with the Magic Valley Kennel Club.  Also underway in Decatur IL  is the day one show of the Champaign Illinois Kennel Club.  Their two shows will be accompanied by one each from the Sandemac Kennel Club & the Mattoon Kennel Club.

Just about every American will be within a few hours of a dog show this weekend.   If you’re on the East Coast You can opt for two in Rchmond RI from the South County Kennel Club, three from the Wilmington Kennel Club & Penn Treaty Kennel Club, two in Florence SC from the Myrtle Beach Kennel Club, or two in Vero Beach FL with the Treasure Coast Kennel Club Of Florida.

Here in Tennessee we have a weekend in Franklin TN with the Maury County Kennel Club Of Tennessee.  A little further north there are two days with the Fort St. Clair Kennel Club in Eaton OH.  Expect a great Terrier entry at the Progressive Dog Club Of Wayne County’s two all breed shows in Birch Run MI, preceded by the Terrier Club of Michigan’s Friday event.

In the Heartland you have two in Marshalltown IA with the Heart of Iowa Kennel Club.  250 miles west you can spend two days with the Seward County Kennel Club in Seward NE.  Texans have their choice of two in Beeville (near Corpus Christie) courtesy of the Bee-Tex Kennel Club or two in Beaumont (east of Houston) hosted by the Baytown Kennel Club.

While we have no shows in the Rocky Mountain Time Zone, we have two venues in sunny California.  In the south state it is Lake Matthews Kennel Club’s twofer in Chino.  Six hours north in the little town of Tres Pinos (near Salinas) you can spend the weekend with the Gavilan Kennel Club.  Fanciers in the Pacific Northwest will be in Walla WA for the hometown Walla Walla Kennel Club’s two shows.

Finally, those of you lucky enough to be in paradise this weekend, drop in on the Valley Isle Kennel Club Of Maui’s two shows in Wailuku HI.

If you are out and about this weekend, please be sure to check your local forecast and pack accordingly.  A little extra planning will assure the weather doesn't spoil your weekend.
