RESULTS FROM ALASKA

GCH CH Dacun Kaylen’s He’s a Heartbreaker

We had to wait nearly a week, but we know have last weekend’s results for the Tanana Valley Kennel Club’s shows in Fairbanks AK.  Denny Mounce had BIS duty for the opener on Saturday and her pick of the  Labrador Retriever, GCH CH Double D’Artagnion JH RN OAP AXP, the Whippet, Arwen’s Girl with the Dragon Tatoo, the Siberian Husky, CH Windancer’s Man About Town, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH McVan’s Be Bob Baby, the Yorkshire Terrier, GCH CH Gemstone’s Hips Don’t’ Lie Eng, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dacun Kaylen’s He’s a Heartbreaker, the Australian Shepherd, CH Artic Rose Shooting Star PT.

Day one would got to the Standard Poodle from Texas, Thomas.  Thomas would also catch the eye of Gloria Kerr on Sunday, Besting the aforementioned Lab & Scottie, the Afghan Hound, CH Sterling’s Cridhe Treun, the Siberian Husky, CH TocuhMeNot’s Thunder & Contention, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Sheeba Discover the Chief, and the Australian Shepherd CH Turnagain Backcountry Blewby U.  The two wins brings the year’s BIS total for Thomas & owner/handler Kay Peiser to nine.

CH Tonsina's Instant Karma

Thomas & Kay would give it one more try on Monday.  They were joined in Edd Bivin’s final by the Irish Setter, GCH CH Glenrose Silitary Star, the Whippet, CH Tonsina's Instant Karma, the Boxer, CH Boca Royal Palms Smarty's Golden Girl, the Scottie making her third appearance of the weekend, the Pug, GCH CH Dulittle’s Takhini Gotta Secret Crush, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Artic Rose Shooting Star PT. making  a second attempt at the BIS.

However, it would be the Whippet, Karma, taking home the big rosette.  We are not 100 percent certain, but we believe this is the 17 month old’s first all breed BIS.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Pat Moss & Casey Moss.
