FOUR DAYS IN UNION ME

GCH CH Downhome Hitech Innovator

Politicians may have been out kissing babies and shaking hands this weekend, but fanciers were out celebrating the end of summer at a dog show.  We have lot’s of reports for you.  So let’s get to them.

New Englanders arrived in Union ME on Thursday to enjoy four days of fun.  You can read about the Central Maine Kennel Club’s day one show here.  At Friday’s CMKC day two show Dr Robert Smith pondered over the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Cerise Tender Is The Night, the Harrier, GCH CH Downhome Hitech Innovator, the Boxer, GCH CH Jacquet's Laredo El Encanto, the day one BIS winner the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Castle Rock's SBigStaff Mad About You, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Kimro's Dora The Explorer, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Riverside's The Sisters, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.

He chose the Harrier, Chet, as his Best.  Chet   That’s four this year for Chet, who is following in the steps of his father, CH Downhome Family Tradition, the winningest Harrier in AKC history.

GCH CH Cerise Tender Is The Night

The rest of the weekend belonged to the above named Springer, Zelda, as she swept both of the two shows of  the Mid-Coast Kennel Club of Maine.  On Saturday Michele Billings preferred Zelda over Chet, the aforementioned AmStaff, & Beardie, the Boxer, GCH CH Mahogany's Will O' The Wisp, the Havanese, GCH CH Fuzzy Farm Qbin Who's On First, and the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Firetown's Out Of The Blue.

On Sunday, Beverly Capstick might have chosen Chet, the Boxer form Saturday, the same AmStaff, the solid black Shih Tzu, GCH CH Pekings Midnight Vision At WenShu, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Firetown's Out Of The Blue, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Vinelake's One Fell Swoop.

Zelda now has eight big rosettes on the year.  Congratulations to breeders Dorothy Cherry & Donna Herzig, owners Dorothy Cherry, Carl Blaine, & Fran Sunseri, and handler Howard Huber Jr.
