ALABAMA, FINALLY

GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare

We can now give you the results from this past week’s four show cluster in Priceville AL.  The Huntsville Kennel Club had the first two days and they chose Gene Blake to do their Thursday final.  As we previously reported here he chose the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, as his  BIS.  He might have chosen the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Braerwood Reflection Spectacular Storm, the Norwegian Elkhound, GCH CH Vin-Melca's The Norseman, the Black Russian Terrier, GCH CH Lancelot Chiornyy Prints, the Miniature Bull Terrier, GCH CH Temris Bully For Me, the Keeshond, CH Karolina Bonnyvale Meant to Be, or the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Babheim's Captain Crunch, but he didn‘t.

Classie and owner/handler Armando Angelbello would leave Alabama after Friday’s final and go on to their home state of Florida to pick up another BIS at the Brandon Florida Kennel Club show on Monday, finishing the week with five Toy groups and two BIS, pretty spiffy.

On Friday, it was Nathaniel Horn at the HKC’s day two show in the final ring with Classie, the Brittany, GCH CH Dual Lanes Cam JH, above named Elkhound, the Samoyed, GCH CH Tobil Storm Warning At Sunrise , the Miniature Bull Terrier, CH Cambrias Kind-N-Play, the Lhasa Apso, GCH CH Ta Sen Bond James Bond , and the Puli, GCH CH Cordmaker Rumpus Bumpus.

He went with the Puli, Ziggy.  It’s the third big rosette this year for America’s Number One Puli.

The Decatur Alabama Kennel Club took over on Saturday and put Robert Vandiver in the final ring with the Labrador Retriever, GCH CH Kaltrav Carribean Cruise JH, the Black Russian Terrier, GCH CH Zilya’s Chicago Blues Fusion at RN C, Friday’s Miniature Bull Terrier, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Hallmark Jolei Austin Powers, the Bulldog, GCH CH Itsa Brix, and the previously mentioned GSD.

Judge Vandiver put the big rosette in the hands of Lenny Brown, standing in for the regular handler of the GSD, Capi.  Capi is the Number One Herding Dog (based on all breed points), with 24 BIS & 93 Herding Groups.

Stephanie Seabrook Hedgepath closed the four day set calling the BIS for the DAKC second show.  Her options were the previously finalist, the Brittany, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Suncrest Sharp Dressed Man, the Tibetan Mastiff, GCH CH Dream Catcher Major Victor of Loki, the Miniature Bull Terrier, CH Cambrias Kind-N-Play, the aforementioned Shih Tzu, the Shiba Inu, GCH CH Kobuchi Justa Draco Rosso, and the GSD, Capi.

Taking home the cluster’s last big rosette was the Brittany, Cam.  It’s the first for the Cam.  Congratulations breeders Louise M Brown & Herbert & Donna Harrison, owners Christopher & Leslie Robinson & Katherine Sullivan, and handler David M Harper.
