TOP THREE FACE OFF IN WI

Before we return to this week’s results, let’s tell you about the Burlington Wisconsin Kennel Club’s Monday & Tuesday shows in Elkhorn WI.  The atypical scheduling and the lack of an AKC representative meant that one of the more dramatic face offs this year went largely under reported.

Among the participants were our Top Three Dogs All Breeds, the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter, the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, & the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici.  All three came to Elkhorn with BACK2BACK BIS earlier in the week.  The GWP, Oakley, got the consecutive wins on Thursday & Friday in Bloomsburg PA, the Springer, Peyton, picked up almost 4000 points for his two wins on Friday & Saturday in Greenville SC, and the Doberman, FiFi took both of the big rosettes on Saturday & Sunday in Waukesha WI.

The first face-off took place on Monday in Arlene Davis’ Sporting Group.  The Springer, Peyton, would advance while the GWP, Oakley, would take the Group Two.  The Doberman FiFi would join Peyton in Charlotte Patterson ring along with the Harrier, GCH CH Downhome Hitech Innovator, the Miniature Schnauzer, GCH CH Allaruth Just Kidding V Sole Baye, the Pug, CH Hill Country Tag I’m It, the Schipperke, GCH CH Dante’s Fire When Ready HOF, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Babheim’s Captain Crunch.

The GSD, Capi, would top the all BIS winners final, while FiFi would take home the RBIS.  Capi is sitting on top of the Herding Group this year with 15 all breed Bests this season.

Sunday Wendy Willhauck would send Peyton back to the BIS ring and give the second place to Oakley.  Rounding out Lowell Davis’ final were the above name Harrier, Chet, the Doberman, FiFi, the same Schnauzer, Justin, the previously seen Pug, JJ, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Vogelflight’s “Honor” to Pillowtalk, and the Border Collie, GCH CH Bon Clyde Pistol Pete of Nahrof.

The Reserve would go to the Schnauzer, Justin, while Peyton would finish the set with his 29th BIS of the year (You do remember that he picked up number 30 yesterday in Salem VA?).    Our Top Three would move on still holding their respective places, but things are a little tighter this week.  For the latest on the numbers check back with us later today.
