The nation’s Number One Dog, the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s  Ripsnorter Silver Charm, was in Delaware OH for the hometown Delaware Ohio Kennel Club’s day one show.  Oakley would finish the day with a Group Two, while the Vizsla, GCH CH Regal Point Pinnacle Of Kilauea JH, would advance to represent the Sproting Group in Charlotte Patterson’s final.

Also showing up for the BIS judging were the Pharaoh Hound, GCH CH TiaRa Ne-Kabu Abu Simbel Ankh, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Snowmist’s Quicksilver Speigas, the Miniature Schnauzer, GCH CH Allaruth Just Kidding V Sole Baye, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Shine’s Deck The Halls, and the Briard, GCH CH Lighting Strike El Xargall.

The Schnauzer, Justin, walked away with the Reserve award and the MinPin, picked up the Best In Show.  While the race for Number One Sporting Dog has grabbed all the attention this year, the race for Number One Toy Dog is still very much in play.  Classie’s 25th BIS of the year will keep that race close.

  2. Someone sold me a miniature Schnauzer but he's way bigger than the miniature schnauzer I bought before him. He's 16 1/2 inches tall and my other schnauzer is only 14 inches tall. Could he be a mix between a standard and a miniature?
I was sure of the breed. They told us it was a miniature schnauzer I saw the parents and his dad was enormous. The mother was the same size as our other schnauzer
