Our Next report comes in from SOCAL (Southern California for our non-American readers) where the  San Gabriel Valley Kennel Club & the Antelope Valley Kennel Club teamed up for two shows this weekend.

James Frederickson had the day one final for the SGVKC and his pick of the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Winamere N Gold Camp Simply D Best, the 13” Beagle, GCH CH Bougain'e Naughty-N-Lovely Alvin, the Bernese Mountain Dog, GCH CH Sapphire’s Briscoe, the Scottish Terrier, CH Eastman’s Marie Antoinette, the Chinese Crested, GCH CH Déjà Vu I Want’A Talk About Me, the French Bulldog, GCH CH LeBull's New Hope Wooly Bully, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Hatch Tillie de la Salsa.

Scoring the day one trophies were the RBIS, the Bouvier, Hatch, and the BIS, the Springer, Patron.    The stunning black & white Springer is just testing the waters as a special and has already picked up two BIS in the last three weeks.

Sunday’s AVKC final was in the hands of Carolyn Taylor who had the same Scottie, Frenchie, & Bouvier, the Irish Water Spaniel, GCH CH Whistle Stop's Wind on the Water, the Basenji, GCH CH Jasiri-Sukari Win Tin Tin, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Steinhaus Maxim Courage RN, and the Maltese, GCH CH Scylla Small Kraft Re-Lit.

Her top two were the smallest among the Maltese, Hank, who took the Reserve, and the Frenchie, Bully, who collected the Best In Show.    Bully is the Number One French Bulldog and with this BIS, his second this year, in a virtual tie for Number Seven Non-Sporting Dog.
