KLAMATH FALLS KC DAY ONE

We now have results coming in from the west coast.  In Klamath Falls OR Connie Redhead had the final today for the Klamath Kennel Club.  She chose among the Brittany, GHC CH Mich’s Mt Red Aim Fire, the Irish Wolfhound, GCH CH Nalaney’s Padraig, the Bullmastiff, GCH CH Kingslynne-Nemo NW Connection, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Alpine’s Highwayman, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Phantom Peak’s Sir Winston Churchill, the American Eskimo Dog, GCH CH Silveroaks First & Foremost, and the Australian Cattle Dog, GCH CH Carben Copy’s If The Shoe Fits.  

Best went to Brick, the Cattle Dog.  It’s the first for Brick this year in ten final appearances.  Congratulations to breeders Heather Warn & Tracy Carlton, owners Joyce Rowland, Dee McNeil, & Kelli Watkins, and handler Kim Griffith.

MIDLAND MICHIGAN KC 1

GCH CH Pem We-Syng Lucky Mi  

Bonnie Linnell Clarke was in Midland MI today for the first of two shows hosted by the hometown Midland Michigan Kennel Club.  Her final line up included the Gordon Setter, GCH CH Sasyta’s Eleven Eleven, the Longhaired Dachshund, GCH CH Insight’s Illusionist SL, the Leonburger, CH Forevergreen’s Scout, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Scalawag The Sherriff at Stetlands, the Japanese Chin, GCH CH Pem We-Syng Lucky Mi, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Jaset’s Satisfaction, and a Bouvier des Flandres, I’m Special Inspired Design.  

BIS was the Chin, Mimi.  That’s six this year for DOG2WATCH Mimi & handler Nancy Martin.

CHESTER VALLEY KC DAY TWO

GCH CH D’s Remember When  

The Chester Valley Kennel Club just wrapped their two day stay in Ludwigs Corner PA.  Read about day one here.  The seven who stayed all day were the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, GCH CH Pikkinokka s Lightning Bug, the Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Field’s Bahama Sands, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH D’s Remember When, the Airedale Terrier, CH Copperfield’s Lion Heart, the Papillon, GCH CH Involo The King of Pop, the Bulldog, GCH CH Tango’s A Perfect Present for the Dulins, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Riverside’s Get Over It.  

It was the Doberman, Jackson, taking home his second BIS of the weekend.  That brings his 2012 take to eight.  Could we have two Dobermans in the Top Ten soon?

RAVENNA KENNEL CLUB DAY ONE

Over in Tallmadge OH, the Ravenna Kennel Club held their day one show.  Diane Malenfant had the judges book and her choice of the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, the Wirehaired Dachshund, GCH CH Summerhill’s Pride & Prejudice, the Samoyed, CH White Eagle s Full Moon Rising On Alpine, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH J’Cobe Broxden Danea, the Havanese, GCH CH Janjem’s Party Animal, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Hillwood Ale Kai Walking On Air, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Dragonpatch The Thunder From Down Under.  

Her Best was the country’s Number One Dog All Breeds, the GWP, Oakley.  Oakley and handler Phil Booth keep the heat on the competition with their 15th BIS of the year.

ST HUBERT KC DAY TWO

We have results from North Stonington CT and  the day two show of the St Hubert Kennel Club.  Lining up for Helen Nietsche’s approval were the Golden Retriever, GCH CH White Birch Darby Hill Light My Fire, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, GCH CH Monkham’s Famous Grouse, the Giant Schnauzer, GCH CH Skansen‘s C’Sofia of Grandeur, the Lakeland Terrier, GCH CH Larkspur Acadia Save Me a Spot, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari, the Standard Poodle, CH Beauciel Presque Parfait, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Babheim’s Captain Crunch.   

Best went to the Giant, Sofia.  Surprisingly this is the first for the seven year old bitch, who has collected 14 Working Groups over the last five years.  That’s what we call persistence.  Congratulations to breeder Sylvia Hammarstrom and owners Anna Stromberg & Roger Rechler.

AMERICAN BOXER CLUB

I recently wrote a piece on the importance of national specialties for my Back Story column over on my partner site, Best In Show Daily.    This week’s American Boxer Club’s 2012 National Specialty is an excellent example of why nationals mean so much.

The seven day long event drew a total of 619 dogs to Ft Mitchell KY.  Now, think about that…619 dogs…that’s an average size all breed show these days.  If you, like I, are a fan of the chiseled athleticism and ebullient personality of the Boxer, the thought of that many Boxers under one roof is pure sensory overload.  

When it was all over judge Dr David Abraham chose CH Hi Tech The King of Sherry Shoot Jp as his BISS.  Other major awards went to CH Draco Greets Dassin With Fourbears (BOS), Destiny's The Spy Who Loved Me (WB/BW), and Cinni Bon N Telstar's Gladiator (WD).  GCH CH Winfall I Dream of Style was both the ABC Top 20 Winner and Peoples Choice Top 20 Winner. 

Best of Breed winner, King, is a champion in Japan, Canada, & the US.  King, who has not spent a whole lot of time here in the US, has been very busy in Canada this year where he is currently the Number Five Dog All Breeds, with two BIS and two Reserve BIS.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Shinryo Teragaki, co-breeders Dr William Truesdale & Zoila Truesdale, and handler Maso Hanabusa.

CHESTER VALLEY KC DAY ONE

 Our second Northeastern entry today is the Chester Valley Kennel Club day one show in Ludwigs Corner PA.  Robert Ennis went over the Brittany, GCH CH Carrollton's Count Lancelot , the Basset Hound, GCH CH L’Ile De Feu’s Moondoggie, the Samoyed, GCH CH Mcmagic's Candied Ham Of Pebblesrun , the Airedale Terrier, GCH CH Joval Angel's Whisper , the Pug, GCH CH Castlerock Pine Cone Mountain Rain, the Bulldog, GCH CH Tango’s A Perfect Present For The Dulins, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Lakotah’s High Flying Adore Biloxi.  

His BIS was the Sammie, Candie.  Candie has been the country’s Number One Samoyed these last two seasons.  This is her second all breed Best of the year.

ST HUBERT KC DAY ONE

GCH CH D’s Remember When  

Fred Ferris had the first final for the St Hubert Kennel Club today in North Stonington CT.  He had a serious seven in the English Setter, GCH CH Colthouse Genuine Draft, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, GCH CH Monkham’s Famous Grouse, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH D’s Remember When, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Lomondview Clementina, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari, the Finnish Spitz. GCH CH Marblehill's Gleaming Icecaps, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Babheim’s Captain Crunch.  

Day one went to the Doberman, Jackson.  Jackson & handler Gwen DeMilta burst into the Top Twenty All Breeds last week with their sixth BIS of the year.  We’ll wait until  this weekend is over to see how high number seven will get them.

The BKC day one BIS went to the Chin, Mimi.  DOG2WATCH Mimi now has five big rosettes this year.  This is one upwardly mobile Chin.

Saturday, Harold Pybus would see the same GWP, Beagle, Chin, & Sheltie, the Mastiff, GCH CH Millenniums Moonshine, the Irish Terrier, CH Granuaile's Crimson Treasure, and the Bulldog, GCH CH Evergreen's Miss Congeniality.  His Best was the Beagle, JR.  JR is another crowd pleasing Beagle brought to you by Marcelo Chagas.  JR & Marcelo have three BIS this year.

GCH CH Ri-Lee's Stellar Performance

Gary Anderson closed it out on Sunday for the BKC.  His final seven were the English Setter, GCH CH Aerden's Pretty In Pink JH, the Longhaired Dachshund, GCH CH Hundeleben Queen's Armada SL, the Samoyed, GCH CH Millcreek's Jesse James, the Bedlington Terrier, GCH CH First Class Syrah D'Hermitage, the Chin, Mimi, the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH Ri-Lee's Stellar Performance, and the Polish Lowland Sheepdog, CH Ponwood's Smoky.

Best went to the Tibetan Terrier, Reese.  It’s the first of the year for Reese and breeder/owner/handler Nikkie Kinziger.  Congratulations to Nikkie and a Happy Fifth Birthday to Reese.  That’s the way to celebrate!

We had two sites in Texas offering exhibitors a chance at all breed action this past weekend.  We gave you a report on the Caddo Kennel Club of Texas shows in Marshall yesterday.  Today with have results on the Big Springs Kennel Club shows in their Texas hometown.

Jon Cole had Saturday’s final and his choice of the Clumber Spaniel, GCH CH Cajun’s A Change Is Gonna Come, the 13” Beagle, CH Vinla--Cabaret’s Gold Standard, the Great Dane, GCH CH Longo Miller N Lore Diamond Lil, the GCH CH Cholet’s Brymos Loaded Gun, the Papillon, GCH CH Copella’s Rising Attraction, the French Bulldog, CH Tinkertime Justus Smooth Operator, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Harmony Hill Money Talks.

A little more than a third of the dogs stayed over in West Windsor Township NJ for the day two show of the Trenton Kennel Club.  The seven who stayed all day to see BIS judge Mary Jane Carberry were the Irish Water Spaniel, GCH CH Whistlestop’s Riley on Fire, the Afghan Hound, CH Mijkelh Sikanni Of Procyon, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Spotlight’s Ruffian, and the Beauceron, GCH CH Beowolf Rime Des Monts Du Lac.  

Her BIS was the Affenpinscher, Joey.  It’s the 11th BIS this year for the country’s Number Seven Dog All Breeds.

RIO HONDO KENNEL CLUB

This weekend the dog show action in southern California was in Pomona with the Rio Hondo Kennel Club.  Saturday ended with Sue Goldberg going over the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Dowgwdcreek's La Vita E Belle, the Basenji, GCH CH Jasiri-Sukari Win Tin Tin, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Roseknoll Sunny Benjamin, the Miniature Schnauzer, GCH CH Allaruth Just Kidding V Sole Baye, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Foxfire Pocket Edition, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Brighton Lakeridge Encore, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH PaRay's Bryant Park.  

Day one went to the Schnauzer, Justin.  It’s the second BIS of the year for Justin, the nation’s Number One Miniature Schnauzer.  Look for Justin to move up into the Top 50 Dogs All Breeds.

Sunday, Justin and the Standard Poodle, Ally, would be the only Saturday finalists to make it back to Michael Dachel’s final.  The five newcomers were the Irish Setter, GCH CH Touchstone's A River Runs Thruit, the Basset Hound, GCH CH Barnyard 3 Oaks Spark Of Hope, the Great Pyrenees, GCH CH Honor's Promise Of The Future, the Pug, Hilton's Pugs N Roses Secret Agent Man, and the German Shepherd Dog, Asgard's Kierkegard.  It was the Poodle, Ally, who grabbed the big rosette at the closer.  Ally, now back with original handler Tim Brazier, has seven BIS this year…and her eye on a Top Ten berth.

Just south of the San Francisco Bay is the little town of Tres Pinos where Bettyann Hale wrapped up the Gavialn Kennel Club’s two day stay yesterday.  The seven she saw were the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Robincrest Great Expectations, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Quiet Creek’s Kiss and Tell, the Alaskan Malamute, GCH CH Catanya’s Latin Lover, the Irish Terrier, GCH CH Rockledge Mccallen Of Meath, the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Casnross First Griff Tina Fey, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Kastle’s Go Speed Racer, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Heatherhill Dazzle Me Montana.  

Best was the Bloodhound, Kissie.  Kissie has been the country’s Number One Bloodhound for the last three seasons.  We have this as her third BIS this year.

OLYMPIC DFA DAY TWO

We have made our way all the way out west where there were there were three different locations you could see a dog show this weekend.  First we stop in the  Pacific Northwest in Elma WA for the day two show of the Olympic Dog Fanciers Association.  You can read about day one here.

On Sunday James Noe greeted the Weimaraner, GCH CH Diamond MK The Eagle Has Landed, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Raquel Welch Of Malabo APO, the Alaskan Malamute, GCH CH Jazzland Rain On Quileute, American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Alpine's Highwayman, the Pomeranian, GCH CH CR Global Affair, the Dalmatian, CH Tramac Just Watchme Shine, and the Australian Cattle Dog, CH Catchpens Onthego Spirit Of The Willow.

Best went to the Pom, Theodore.  It’s the first for Theodore and owner/handler Deena Simon.  Congratulations to Deena and breeders/owners Celeste & Robert Solano. 

SOUTH JORDAN UT DAY FOUR

GCH CH Scylla’s Small Kraft Re-Lit  

Butch MacDonald closed the four day set in South Jordan UT on Sunday with his final for the Intermountain Kennel Club.  Check our archives for reports on the first three days.  

The seven who made it to the last ring were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Thaon’s Mowgli, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Highwood’s Call of the Wild, the Miniature Bull Terrier, GCH CH Dytona VIP, the Maltese, GCH CH Scylla’s Small Kraft Re-Lit, the Lhasa Apso, GCH CH Xeralane’s Kid Rock, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Coventry Allure at Wyndstar.  

He chose the nation’s Number One Maltese , Hank, as his Best.  Check back with us mid week to see if Hank’s fifth BIS of the year was good enough to move him into the Top Twenty All Breeds.

Our next stop is Marshall TX for a visit with the Caddo Kennel Club of Texas.  The CKCT’s Saturday final was called by Bradley Jenkins from the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Ehrenvogel Say Cheese, the Bloodhound, CH Flessner's International Space Station At Honid, the Alaskan Malamute, GCH CH Kaviak's Lord Of The Dance, the Scottish Terrier, CH Kelwyn's History In The Making, the King Charles & Ruby English Toy Spaniel, GCH CH. LTO Prosperity, the French Bulldog, JCRV-Klasse Warrior Raising The Banner, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Heidelberg's Austin V Melissa.  

His Best In Show was the GSP, Khoa.  It’s the first for the 22 month old bitch.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Marina Renee Lara, owner/handler Ann Claire Lester, and owners Carlene Swennsson & Greg Hostetter.

 Dr Wanda V Spediacci  took over on Sunday, deciding among the GSP, Khoa, the Pharaoh Hound, DC Mia-Churuka Just Imagine SC, the above named Malamute, the Japanese Chin, CH Jaimy From The Olympia Girls, the Tibetan Spaniel GCH CH Shilo Time For A Good Time, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Rainyday's Remember When RE HIAS HSACD NF CDX A.  

She decided upon the Malamute, Michael.  It’s the first for the imposing four year old.  Congratulations to breeder Joyce Delay, owner, Marilyn Rice, and handler Gerry Thorton.

OCONEE RIVER KENNEL CLUB

It’s Monday Morning Mop Up time and we will start in Watkinsville GA with a belated report on the Oconee River Kennel Club’s two shows.   We would have liked to have reported in a more timely manner, but the show committee thought they were better served by withholding the on line catalog.  Well, enough of that.  You know what they say about leading a horse backwards to water….

Day one’s final featured Denny Mounce in the BIS ring with the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, the Whippet, GCH CH Bo-Bett’s Speed Demon, the Great Dane, GCH CH DRD’s The Revelation, the Norfolk Terrier, GCH CH Bigwig’s Mack The Knife, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, the Bulldog, GCH CH B-Loved Nothing But Net, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Dalarno Nite Song at Morningstar.

Her Best was AKC’s Number One Toy Dog, the MinPin, Classie.  Classie and owner/handler Armando Angelbello have climbed all the way to the Number Five Dog All Breeds with ten BIS this year.

Sunday Classie & four of the Saturday finalists would join the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, GCH CH Derbys X Marks The Spot and the Puli, GCH CH Cordmaker Rumpus Bumpus in James White’s final.  He would choose as his Best In Show the Cocker, Beckham, the winningest Cocker Spaniel in AKC history.  Beckham now has 108 career BIS, 17 this year.

The Jefferson County Kennel Club Of Missouri closed the set today in Gray Summit MO with Michele Billings in the final ring with the Irish Water Spaniel, GCH CH Whistlestop's Fire & Ice, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, GCH CH Jaren's Ready Set Don't Go At R-N-B, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Protocol‘s Veni Vidi Vici, the Parson Russell Terrier, GCH CH Foxbend Colour Me More, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Hallmark Jolei Bells Will Be Ringing, the Chow Chow, GCH CH Redcloud’s Chowlamar Big Daddy,  and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Babheim’s Captain Crunch.   Her BIS was the GSD, Capi.  It’s his seventh of the year and his second of the weekend.

TRENTON KENNEL CLUB 1

We have a new Number One Dog All Breeds.  After gaining on the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici,  these last two weeks, the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View's Ripsnorter Silver Charm, leaped into the lead by grabbing today’s Best In Show at the 2500 plus entry Trenton Kennel Club show in West Windsor Township NJ. 

Also vying for Carl Gene Liepmann’s attention were the Rhodesian Ridgeback, GCH CH Spring Valley's Always There, the Giant Schnauzer, GCH CH Skansen's Holy Knight, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH  AfterAll Painting The Sky, the Toy Poodle, GCH CH Smash Jp Sakura, the Miniature Poodle, GCH CH  Surrey Sugar Baby, and the Puli, GCH CH Fuzzy Farm Twist And Shout.

We will have to wait for the weekend numbers to see how much cushion Oakley’s 14th BIS of the year will provide.

CRAWFORD COUNTY KC DAY TWO

Our first report from today’s shows comes in from Bucyrus OH and the Crawford County Kennel Club.  Arlene Davis had the pleasure of the company of the Pointer, CH Oncore Mykna Storm, the Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Field’s Bahama Sands. The Great Dane, GCH CH Lobato’s Code Red, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH J’cobe Broxden Danea, the Havanese, GCH CH Qbin’s Strictly Confidential at Enginuity,  the Tibetan Spaniel, GCH CH Kan Sing’s Tenzin, and the Border Collie, GCH CH Sporting Fields Heiress HSAs.

Best went to the biggest among them, the Dane, Cody.  It’s the first this year for Cody and handler Earl Shore.  Congratulations to Earl, breeder/owner Joy Lobato, co-breeder Erin Brandon, and owners Angela Stillwell, Kelly Lyons, & Traci Miller.

GRAY SUMMIT MO DAYS 1 & 2

The Purina Farms setup in Gray Summit MO, just outside of St Louis, is a state of the art facility designed especially for dog shows.  Its central location draws dogs from all over the US.  This weekend the St. Louis Dog Breeders Association, the Spirit Of The Heartland Kennel Club, & the Jefferson County Kennel Club Of Missouri have teamed up for three all breed shows.

Friday’s SLDBA show ended with James Maloney in the final ring with the Irish Water Spaniel, GCH CH Whistlestop's Fire & Ice, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, GCH CH Jaren's Ready Set Don't Go At R-N-B, the Kuvasz, GCH CH Szumeria’s Wildwood Silver Six Pence, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH Graycottage Santeric Fyrestorm, the Pug, GCH CH Feilong By Woowoo Oh No It's Opal, the Schipperke, GCH CH Dante’s Fire When Ready HOF, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Babheim’s Captain Crunch.  

Day one went to the GSD, Capi.  Capi now has six BIS, most of which have come within the last 30 days.

Saturday, Barbara Dempsey Alderman would choose the SHKC BIS from the Golden Retriever, GCH CH  Summits Emery It's In The Bag, the Saluki, GCH CH Sandstorm Blue Nile Bubbles Of Jatara, the aforementioned Kuvasz, the Cairn Terrier, CH Dogwood treasure Hunter, the Papillon, CH Wildfire on the Verge, the Chow Chow, GCH CH Redcloud’s Chowlamar Big Daddy, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Lambluv Gambolon Blue Thunder.  

Best was the winningest Kuvasz in history.  The Number Three Dog All Breeds’ eight BIS of the year keeps him in a tight race with Numbers One & Two.

OLYMPIC DFA DAY ONE

CH Tramac Just Watch Me Shine  

Next we go to the Pacific Northwest where we have the results from yesterday’s Olympia Dog Fanciers Association show in Elma WA.  Dr Robert Brown’s options included the  Weimaraner, GCH CH Diamond MK The Eagle Has Landed, the Black and Tan Coonhound, GCH CH Windbourne HD Ranch King Of The Road, the Tibetan Mastiff, GCH CH Shang-Hai's Shadow Of The Cascades, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Alpine’s Highwayman, the Pomeranian, GCH CH CR Global Affair, the Dalmatian, CH Tramac Just Watch Me Shine, and the Rough Collie, CH Barksdale Lochlaren Good Times HIC.

His chose the Dalmatian, Bogie, as his Best In Show. It’s the first for Bogie, keeping up a family tradition of BIS winners that now spans three generations.  Congratulations to breeder/owner/handler Meg Callea, who now has bred more BIS winning Dalmatians than anyone else in KAC history, and breeder/owner JW Smith.  When was the last time we had two Dalmatians go BIS on the same day?

GAVIALN KENNEL CLUB DAY ONE

GCH CH Kastle's Go Speed Racer  

About an hour south of San Jose CA is the town of Tres Pinos where the Gavialn Kennel Club is set up for two days.  Yesterday’s final fell to Dr Carmen Battaglia.   The final line up included the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Robin Crest Great Expectations, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Quiet Creek's Kiss and Tell, the Newfoundland, CH Joyride, the Irish Terrier, GCH CH Rockledge McCallen of Meath, the Yorkshire Terrier, GCH CH Linshires Rolling Stone, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Kastle's Go Speed Racer, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Hatch Tillie de la Salsa.  

Best went to the Dal, Speed.  It’s the first BIS for the four year old.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Mary Squire, owner Michelle Knight, and Bruce Schultz.

SOUTH JORDAN UT DAY THREE

GCH CH Thaon’s Mowgli  

We have some results for you from yesterday’s western shows.  First from South Jordan UT and the Intermountain Kennel Club…Linda More had Saturday’s final and the a beautiful lineup of the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Thaon’s Mowgli, the Boxer R and G’s Mystical Dancer, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Friendship Hill Stars And Stripes, the Maltese, GCH CH Scylla's Small Kraft Re-Lit, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Vaje’s Jethrene Bodine, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Coventry Allure at Wyndstar.  

BIS was the country’s top winning Afghan Hound, Mowgli. Most American fanciers have yet to see this beautiful sight hound this year as he and breeder/owner/handler Jay Hafford have confined their 2012 appearances to western venues.  Two weekends ago Mowgli pulled off the hat trick, collecting three consecutive BIS, his first all breed Bests of the year.  Today’s win is his fourth.
