MARIETTA OHIO DAY THREE

GCH CH Meadowlake’s Simply Sinful  

Marietta OH continues to draw some of the top dogs in AKC. The seven Diana Norman had at today's Greater Clarksburg WV Kennel Club were the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Foxhound, the Giant Schnauzer, GCH CH Ramahill Absolutes I Am Legend Of RW, the Border Terrier, GCH CH Meadowlake’s Simply Sinful, the Italian Grey Hound, GCH CH GDM Zenyatta At Lakeside, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Jaset’s Satisfaction, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH Grandgables The Frat Boy.  

 The one she picked as her BIS was the Border Terrier, Maya.  Maya and breeder/owner/handler Karen Fitzpatrick have won three BIS and an impressive 19 Terrier groups this year.

MATTAPONI KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH Surrey Sugar Baby  

Barbara Dempsey Alderman had the judges book for today’s final of the Mattaponi Kennel Club in  Manassas VA.  The seven who stayed all day to see her were the Brittany, GCH CH Carroltons Count Lancelot, the 15” Beagle,     CH K-Run Lanbur The Truth All Around, the Siberian Husky, CH Kontoki's Isaiah Little Prayer For You, the White Highland White Terrier, CH Blythefell Fergus, the Pekingese, CH Pequest Bamboo, the Miniature Poodle, GCH CH Surrey Sugar Baby, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Mysharas Dancing Queen.  

The one who took away the BIS was the Miniature Poodle, Sugar Baby.  The black beauty now has five BIS this year.

OYSTER BAY NY DAY TWO

GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari  

We are scrambling around to bring you result today.  We are going to start out on Long Island where the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari has made it two in a row, taking home the day two BIS at the Ladies' Kennel Association Of America in Oyster Bay NY.  Challenging Joey were the Weimaraner, GCH CH Northwoods Send Money Honey, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, GCH CH Whirlaway's Ida Belle's A Ringing, Great Pyrenees, CH Pyrless No-Brainer, the Australian Terrier, CH Shastakin Flying Dust Busterthe Dalmatian, GCH CH Spotlight’s Ruffian, and the Beauceron, GCH CH Beowolf Rime des Monts du Lac.  Joey’s 13th BIS of the year makes the race for Number One Toy Dog very, very interesting.

BICHON FRISE NATIONAL SPECIALTY

GCH CH Saks Hamelot Little Drummer Boy  

The Bichon Frise Club of America spent Mothers Day in Lombard IL just outside of Chicago for their 2012 National Specialty.  Loraine Boutwell’s Best In Specialty Show was  GCH CH Saks Hamelot Little Drummer Boy.  Additional awards went to CH Miabella Head Over Heels (BOS), Saks Winning Card (WD/BW), & Mybliss Expertly Engineered.  

It was the second consecutive national win for Drummer and handler Scott Sommer.  In 2011 Drummer was the Number One Bichon, the Number Three Non-Sporting Dog, & the Number Ten Dog All Breeds with 25 big rosettes & 92 Non-Sporting Groups. Congratulations to Scott, breeders/owners Sandra & Keith Hanson, co-breeders Shirley & Richard Hamilton, and owner Cecelia Ruggles.

ABILENE KC DAY ONE

GCH CH Alpine’s Ring of Fire  

As we await today’s results we have this for you from Abilene TX and the hometown Abilene Kennel Club.  Gloria Kerr’s BIS yesterday was the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Alpine’s Ring of Fire.   

Joining Phoenix and handler Brian Livingston in the final ring were the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Fieldfines Pure Gold, the Whippet, CH Starline's Oxford Victim of Love, the Doberman Pincher, GCH CH Katobas Emerald City, the Maltese, GCH CH Scylla's Small Kraft Re-Lit, the Bulldog, GCH CH Imperious Hamitup Double Vision, and the Smooth Collie, GCH CH Travlers Pierce Arrow.  

It’s Phoenix’ fourth career BIS and his second of 2012.   What a great  ambassador for the breed!

OYSTER BAY NY DAY ONE

The Ladies' Kennel Association Of America opened their two day stop in Oyster Bay NY and asked Lee Canalizo to choose a Best In Show.  Her options were the Irish Setter, CH Ramblin’ Red National Dreams, the Pharaoh Hound, DC Hallam’s Ethan Ramel MC, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Magellan's I Want To Be Your Man, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Lomondview Clementina, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Spotlight’s Ruffian, and the Belgian Sheepdog, CH Sumerwynd’s Quest RN.  

Best went to the Affenpinscher, Joey.  Joey is in hot pursuit of the Number One Toy Dog.  His 12th BIS of the year will put him very close.

MARIETTA OHIO DAY TWO

Our first report of the day comes in from Marietta OH.  If you ever dissed small shows take a look at Keke Kahn’s final.  Her seven options were the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box, the Great Dane, GCH CH Longo Miller N Lore Diamond Lil, the Border Terrier, GCH CH Meadowlake Simply Sinful, the Shih Tzu,  Aiko's Star Chaser, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Jaset’s Satisfaction, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Babheim’s Captain Crunch.  

Six of the finalists are multiple BIS winner. One is this year's Number One Hound.  Another has been the Number One Herding Dog for the last two years.  Yet another is the Number One Non-Sporting Dog & the 2011 AKC/Eukanuba National Champion.  A fourth was the Number One Dog All Breeds in 2011.   

It was last year’s Number One, the Cocker, Beckham taking home a record setting 109th career BIS.   He has now on 18 big rosettes this year.  Remember to check out those small shows.  You never know who will show up.

SCARBOROUGH ME DAY ONE

The big dog show weekend has begun.  In New England fanciers are gathered in Scarborough ME for four days of fun.  The Vacationland Kennel Club opened the set yesterday and chose Joan Scott to choose a Best In Show.  Her seven candidates were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, the Borzoi, GCH CH Greyhaven This Rough Magic SC, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici, the Lakeland Terrier, GCH CH Larkspur Acadia Save Me A Spot, the Pomeranian, CH Foxworth follow Me Boys, the Xoloitzcuintli, Tecoman Avalaos, and the Puli, GCH CH Fuzzy Farm Twist and Shout.  

Day one belonged to AKC’s Number Four Dog All Breeds, the Springer, Peyton.  Peyton & handler Robin Novack are keeping the pressure on the Top Three with seven BIS this year, two in the last week.

The Blennerhassett Kennel Club is first in with this week’s show reports.  The seven that made it to Dr Robert Smith’s final were the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box, the Great Dane, GCH CH Longo Miller N Lore Diamond Lil, the Border Terrier, GCH CH Meadowlake Simply Sinful, the Toy Manchester Terrier, GCH CH Cottage Lake Bela Horizonte, the Xoloitzcuintli, GCH CH Bayshore Georgio Armani, and the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH Grandgable’s The Frat Boy.  

Best went to the country’s Number One Hound, the Foxhound, Jewel.  It’s the eighth BIS this year for Jewel and breeder/owner/handler Lisa Miller.

SCOTTISH DEERHOUND NATIONAL

CH Lehigh Ennis Carmichael  

We have one more national specialty to tell you about.  227 Scottish Deerhounds descended upon the Bavarian Inn Lodge & Conference Center in Frankenmuth MI this past week for the  2012 National Specialty of the Scottish Deerhound Club of America.  On Saturday Dana Cline named his Best of Breed, CH Lehigh Ennis Carmichael.  His Best of Opposite Sex was GCH CH  Lehigh-Darkwynd Flora.  Winners Dog & Best of Winners went to Dhu Mohr Sweet Justice At Staghill and Winners Bitch was Dhu Mohr Quince At Peartree.  

It’s the second consecutive national BISS for breeder Paula Pascoe, who won the 2011 National with Ennis’ litter sister, GCH CH Lehigh-Darkwynd Enella.  Three year ago we saw a photo of Ennis when he went Best Puppy In Show at the Detroit Kennel Club show.  His sire and dam (CH Jaraluv Michael & CH Lehigh Darkwynd Caragh) were both multiple BIS winners. Deerhound fans may recognize CH Jaraluv Michael as the sire of the top winning Scottish Deerhound in history, CH Jaraluv Ouija, who was a Top Ten Dog All Breeds in 2008 and won the Hound Group at the 2008 AKC/Eukanuba National Championship.  Ennis was bred by Paula Pascoe & Pam Smithson, owned by Paula & her husband, Grant Winchell, and handled by Grant.  Congratulations to them all. 

GORDON SETTER 2012 NATIONAL

GCH CH Firethorn & Sandpiper’s Easy On The Eyes  

Dana Cline was in Warwick RI this past weekend to judge the 2012 National Specialty of the Gordon Setter Club of America.  He spent the day with 186 before naming GCH CH Firethorn & Sandpiper’s Easy On The Eyes his Best of Breed.  His Best of Opposite Sex was GCH CH Holly Hunt Take A Chance On Me.  Class winners included the Winners Bitch/Best Of Winners, Firethorn and Spring Run’s Truth Or Consequences, and the Winners Dog, Brynbar Tamarack Sonic Boom.  

Nine year old Carson, who took the BOB form the Veterans class, was the Number One Gordon in 2009 and 2010.  Congratulations to his breeders/owners Christina Kirby & Mary McLoughlin DVM, co-breeders Janice Beattie & Caren Mcweeny, owners Pat & Don Coller, and handler Eileen Hackett.

IRISH WATER SPANIEL NATIONAL

GCH Whistlstop's Fire & Ice 

The Irish Water Spaniel Club of America also chose the Purina Farms site in Gray Summit MO for their 2012 National Specialty.  Frank Summerside wrapped it all up last Friday.  After going over 57 IWS, he chose GCH Whistlstop's Fire & Ice as his BISS.  Among the other awards were the Best of Opposite Sex, CH Poole's Ide Corteo Du Tidemark, Winners Dog & Best of Winners, Ildanoch Beckett's Dublin Brew JH, and the Winners Bitch, Ildanoch Anna Livia On Bloomsday.  

Breed winner, Annah, follows in the paw prints of her sire, GCH CH Poole's Ide Got Water RN, who was the 2011 IWSCA BISS. Congratulations to breeders/owners Colleen McDaniel & Stacy J Duncan.

KUVASZ CLUB OF AMERICA

Littermates, GCH CH Szumeria's Wildwood Silver Six Pence & GCH CH Szumeria's Sing A Song Of Sixpence  

We’re a bit behind on our national specialty reports.  Barbara Dempsey Alderman was at Purina Farms in Gray Summit MO on May 6th for the Kuvasz Club of America’s 2012 National Specialty.  She had 35 Kuvaszok to go over after she was finished she chose the nation’s Number Three Dog All Breeds, GCH CH Szumeria's Wildwood Silver Six Pence, as her Best In Specialty Show.  She chose the BISS’ litter sister, GCH CH Szumeria's Sing A Song Of Sixpence, as her Best of Opposite Sex.  Additional awards went to Autumn Winds Field of Dreams (WD) and Mauna Kea's Heart and Soul (WB/BW).  

It was the fourth consecutive national win for Tanner.   Tanner is AKC winningest Kuvasz of all time with 34 all breed BISs to date.  Congratulations to Tanner's breeders/owners Lynn Brady, and Connie Townsend, co-breeders Bea & Clay Page, owners Mercedes Vila & Claudia Muir, and handler Diana Wilson.

CORONADO KENNEL CLUB DAY TWO

Pete Dawkins closed our long, long dog show weekend in Albuquerque NM with his final for the Coronado Kennel Club.  He chose his best from the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, the Harrier, GCH CH Downhome Hitech Innovator, the Kuvasz, GCH CH Szumeria’s Wildwood Silver Six Pence, the Miniature Bull Terrier, GCH CH Dytona VIP, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Miletree Northern Star At Shirmont, the Miniature Poodle, CH Danfour Voila', and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Lonestar’s Margarita Rose.  

His BIS was the MiniBull, Simon.  It’s the third of the year for the Swiss import.

Last week’s shows are still underway out in Albuquerque NM where the Coronado Kennel Club took over on day three.  Edd Bivin saw the Clumber Spaniel, GCH CH Clussexx Collaboration With Traddles, the Harrier, GCH CH Downhome Hitech Innovator, the Kuvasz, GCH CH Szumeria's Wildwood Silver Six Pence , the Miniature Bull Terrier, GCH CH Dytona VIP, the Silky Terrier, CH Wind Dancer Jenstar Backstage, the Finnish Spitz, CH Jayenn's Archer, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Rocheuses Me And My Shadow of Cornus.  

His Best In Show was the country’s Number Three Dog All breeds, the Kuvasz, Tanner.  Tanner’s eighth BIS of 2012 will keep him on the heels of the top two.

Our next stop is Eau Claire WI where the Indian Head Kennel Club spent the weekend.  Charlotte McGowan had Saturday’s final and the company of the Flat-Coated Retriever, CH heir born 's Big Sky, the Basset Hound, GCH CH Topsfield Sanchu Eenie Meenie Miney Moe, the Rottweiler, CH Redfield's Itz My Tyme, RN, the Airedale Terrier, GCH CH Huntwood Spyglas of Stone Ridge Tobylinn, the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Knolland Amber Moon, the Standard Poodle, Nightwind Picture Perfect, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Frontier's License To Carry At Margaux.  

Her Best was the Griff, Lainey.  It’s the second of the year for Lainey, daughter of CH Cilleine Masquerade, the winningest Brussels Griffon in AKC history.  

GCH CH Topsfield Sanchu Eenie Meenie Miney Moe

Sunday only the Basset Hound, Tiger, would return to see BIS judge Kathleen Steen.   the Chesapeake Bay Retriever, CH Mud Creek's Orange Crush, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Protocol's Flagrante Delicto, the Norfolk Terrier, GCH CH Max-Well’s Diamond Thief, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Flying Colors Tiramasu, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Glen Oaks Firekeeper's Gambler, and the Belgian Sheepdog, GCH CH Chargany's Voyageur.  

And it would be Tiger taking home the big rosette.  It’s his first all breed BIS in ten final appearances, six of which have come in the last six weeks.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Claudia Orlandi & Claire Steidel and handler Bryan Martin.

We still have results from last weekend for you.  First from Rock Island IL, we can tell you that the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici, picked up both the big rosettes at the Scott County Kennel Club’s two shows.  

Joining FiFi and breeder/owner/handler Jocelyn Mullins in Robert Hutton’s final on Saturday were the Brittany, GCH CH Star Flight Jumpin Jack Flash OA NAJ, the Norwegian elkhound, CH Elvbend's The Soldier's Tear, the Border Terrier, GCH CH Meadowlake Simply Sinful, the Havanese, GCH CH Marcosa’s Slip Slidin Away of Skyline, the Finnish spitz, GCH CH Marblehill's Gleaming Icecaps, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Daybar Bleu By U.  Sunday Betty Regina Leininger saw the same seven save two, the American Foxhound, CH Dunstan Tucker and the Tibetan Terrier, GCH Barnstorm's Grisson TTCSI.

Best was the AmStaff, Jelly. It’s the third this year for Jelly & breeder/owner/handler Ed Thomason. 

TWO IN WOODLAND CA

Northern California dog fanciers were in Woodland CA this weekend for the Camellia Capital Kennel Club’s & the Santa Cruz Kennel Club’s shows.  First up was the CCKC who put Dr Sophia Kaluzniacki, in the final ring with the English Setter, GCH CH Aerden's Pretty In Pink JH, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Thaon’s Mowgli, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Topaz Silver Lining, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Absolutely Out Of Sight, the Chinese Crested, GCH CH Dejavu I Want A Talk About Me, the French Bulldog, GCH CH Lebull's New Hope Wooly Bully, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Hatch Tille de la Salsa.  

Best went to the Setter, KiKi.  It’s her third this year.  Who would have thought we would have three BIS winning English Setters out at the same time?  

GCH CH Windemere's Dusting of White at Pevyne  

The SCKC’ turn came on Sunday and they sent up the same Smooth Fox, Frenchie, & Bouvier to see Judith Daniels.  They were joined by the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Robin Crest Great Expectations , the Basset Hound, GCH CH Blossomhil's Hello Dolly, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Steinhaus Maxim Courage, and the Pekingese, GCH CH Windemere's Dusting Of White At Pevyne.  

Her Best was the Peke, Dusty.  Dusty is the Number One Peke in the US, the Number Three Toy Dog, & the Number 13 Dog All breeds with seven all breed Bests this year, three in the last two weeks.

APPLE VALLEY KC DAY TWO

They tell me that Victorville CA will soon be known as the location to catch a high speed train to Las Vegas.  However, for now they are known as the site of the Apple Valley Kennel Club’s dog shows.  We gave you a report on Saturday’s show earlier.  Here’s what happened on Sunday.  

The seven who spent all day Sunday on the edge of the Mojave Desert were the English Setter, GCH CH Oakley’s B’Dazzled, the Whippet, GCH CH Starline’s Chanel, the Boxer, GCH CH R and G’s Mystical Dancer, a Standard Manchester Terrier from the Puppy class, Starfire's Hottest Topic In Town, the Havanese, GCH CH Bellatak McDreamy, the Chow Chow, GCH CH Fortune's All Eyez On Me, the Canaan Dog, GCH CH Pleasant Hill Magnum Of Samara.  

The one who took home the big rosette was the Boxer, Danny.  That’s his fourth of the year for the Number Eleven Dog All Breeds and it puts him in a virtual tie with the Number Ten Dog. 

RIO GRANDE KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Super Nova  

We once heard Albuquerque NM described  as a “dog show desert”.  However, this week New Mexico fanciers can treat themselves to four days of dog shows.  The fun began on Saturday and will continue through tomorrow.  

The Rio Grande Kennel Club had the duty for the first two days, putting Keke Kahn in their first final with the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Super Nova,  the Rhodesian Ridgeback, GCH CH Kimani's Time Honored, the Mastiff, CH Lexington Divine's Put Me In Coach, the Bedlington Terrier, CH Elante Matinee Idol, the Toy Poodle, GCH CH Smash JP Winning Ribbon, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Vaje's Jethrene Bodine, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Milkywey's How Do You Like Me Now?    

Claiming day one was the Springer, Peyton.  Peyton, the Number Four Dog All Breeds, now has six all breed Bests this year.  

Monica Canestrini had the day two final and her choice of the Springer, Peyton, the Harrier, GCH CH Downhome Hitech Innovator, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Chancellor High Flyin' Gladiator, the same Bedlington, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Brackley My Amazing Warrior, the above named Shar-Pei, Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Rocheuses Me And My Shadow of Cornus.   

Her Best was the Shar-Pei, Jethrene.  It’s the first BIS in 12 final appearances for Jethrene and handler Clint Livingston.  Congratulations to Clint, breeders/owners Jeff & Vicki Mauk, and owners Todd & Sabrina Paddock.  With 12 final appearances, surely someone has snapped a photo?

DENTON KENNEL CLUB

The Denton Kennel Club member held their two shows in their Texas hometown this weekend and one dog, the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Harmony Hill's Money Talks made the most of the opportunity by taking both the BISs.  

On Saturday the six who joined Cash and owner/handler Leo Goetz in Gary Doerge’s final were the English Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Newstead Echoes Of Love, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, GCH CH Sunsweetened Eye Candy By Copperridge, the Giant Schnauzer, GCH CH Skansen's Harvard, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Skyscot's Texas Hold 'Em, the Papillon, GCH CH Copella's Rising Attraction, and the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Jade East Do You Know The Way To San Jose.  

Sunday Dr Dana Ann Smith Massey chose Cash over the Pointer, GCH CH Penpoint In Dress Blues, the Pharaoh Hound, CH Faouziah Faramir, the above named Giant, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Alpine's Ring Of Fire, the Pug, GCH CH Mianda's Secret Pocket, and the previously mentioned Shar-Pei.  Cash & Leon now have four BIS & 12 Herding Groups this year.

The geographically confused Sunflower Kennel Club Of Olathe, Kansas held their two shows in Topeka KS this weekend.  Linda Robey had the day one BIS duty and the seven of Welsh Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Clussexx Rolyarts Payola, the Saluki, CH Bay Watch Babe Von Agrani, the Tibetan Mastiff, GCH CH Dreamcatchers Major Victory At Loki, the White Bull Terrier, CH Glentom Acies Not A Thing To Wear, the Kin Charles & Ruby English toy Spaniel, GCH CH LTO Prosperity, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Vogel flight’s “Honor” to Pillowtalk, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Eden Crowns Designer Label. 

Grabbing his first BIS was the TM, Major.  It was the ninth final this year for Major and handler Tony Carter.  You may remember Major from February’s Westminster Kennel Club show, where he made the cut in the Working Group.   Congratulations to Tony, breeder Sabrina S Novarra, and owners Debra Parsons & William Slayton.

Major & Tony were back on Sunday to see Rita Biddle along with the previously named Bull Terrier & Corgi, the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Kan Points Makin The Chase, the Whippet, CH C Squares Wailing Widow, the Affenpinscher, CH Xelas Party Hat, and the Lowchen, GCH CH Laser Kiiji No Way No How. 

She chose the Corgi, Travis, as her Best In Show.  It’s also his first.  Among Travis’ more impressive wins this year was a Group Two at the huge Louisville Kennel Club show during the Kentuckiana Cluster,  Congratulations to breeders Frank Gibson, Wendy Gibson, & Mary Samuel, and owners Linda & John Williams.

FOUR IN PERRY GA

Here in the South we don’t like to split our venues.  Witness the Columbus Kennel Club, the Southeast Alabama Kennel Club, & the Macon Kennel Club all agreeing to hold four shows at one site in Perry GA.  

The CKC kicked it off on Thursday and asked June Penta to select her Best of the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction, the Saluki, GCH CH Sandstorm Blue Nile Bubbles Of Jatara, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Cadrae This Is It , the Border Terrier, GCH CH Highgate & The Ark Rejoice, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Glenleigh Gangs N Roses, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Karizmas Ike Of Edale.  

Day one went to the country’s Number One Toy Dog, the MinPin, Classie.  Classie is the Number Five Dog All Breeds with eleven Bests In Show to her credit in 2012.

The next two days would belong to the Saluki, Bubbles.  On Friday, Bubbles, was Donna Buxton’s pick for the SAKC Best over the  previously mentioned Cocker, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici, the Miniature Schnauzer, GCH CH Allaruth Just Kidding V Sole Baye, the Pug, GCH CH Capers Sirius Endeavor, the Schipperke, GCH CH Dante’s Fire When Ready HOF, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Aubrey’s Tails of Mystery.  

At Saturday’s MKC event Jon Cole might have picked the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Reece Afterhours The Buck Stops Here the Black Russian Terrier, GCH CH Zilyas Chicago Blues Fusion At Runes, or one of the aforementioned Schnauzer, MinPin, Schipperke, or GSD, but he didn’t.  The two wins bring to five BIS this season for Bubbles & handler Erin Roberts.

Dr Gerard Penta had the final final for the MKC and his pick of the now familiar Saluki, Schnauzer, MinPin, Schipperke, & GSD.  They were joined by the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Summits Emery Its In The Bag, and the Doberman Pinscher, CH Jaroe Legend Of Irish Spirit.  His Best was the Schnauzer, Justin.  Justin is making most of the spring weather with three big rosettes in the last month.  Can’t wait to seem him in June.

The German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, showed why he’s the Number One Dog All Breeds, posting consecutive wins at the Ravenna Kennel Club’s two shows in Tallmadge OH this weekend.  You can read all the details about Saturday’s show here.

Sunday Denny Mounce chose Oakley out of a lineup that included the Petit Bassett Griffon Vendeen, GCH CH Jus A Redd Hott Peper, the Giant Schnauzer, GCH CH Kenro's Witching Hour, the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Jay Roy Byrum N Hot For You, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Karlees Pryme Tyme At Bon Jon, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Koira Guardian Of The Longbow, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Dragonpatch Thunder Down Under.  Oakley & handler Phil Booth have 16 big rosettes this season.

There was also a split venue weekend in Pennsylvania with the Lancaster Kennel Club show in Lebanon following the Chester Valley Kennel Club’s two shows in Ludwigs Corner.  

Terry Stacy’s final included the Irish Water Spaniel, GCH CH Whistletop’s Riley On Fire, the Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Fields Bahama Sands, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH D’s Remember When, the Kerry blue Terrier, Class Act By Hallsblu, the King Charles & Ruby English Toy Spaniel, GCH CH Southdown Never Mind, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Spotlight’s Ruffian, and the Puli, GCH CH Cordmaker’s Rumpus Bumpus.  

His BIS was the nation’s Number One Dalmatian, Ian.  Ian and handler Michael Scott have two all breed Bests and 16 Non-Sporting groups so far this year.

WINDHAM COUNTY KENNEL CLUB

We took off most of yesterday to celebrate Mothers’ Day, but we are back with lots of reports for our Monday Morning Mop Up.  We will start in Woodstock CT for yesterday’s Windham County Kennel Club Show, the third show in that state’s split venue weekend.  

Edwards F Lyons Jr had the final call and the seven of the Gordon Setter, GCH CH Hollyhunt Take A Chance On Me, the Pharaoh Hound, DC Hallam's Ethan Ramel MC, the Giant Schnauzer, GCH CH Skansen‘s C’Sofia of Grandeur, the Lakeland Terrier, GCH CH Larkspur Acadia Save Me a Spot, the Pug, GCH CH Foursquare I’ll Be A Shostopa Tu, the Xoloitzcuintli, Tecoman Avalos, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Dunhill Celebration.   

His BIS was the Giant, Sofia.  On Saturday, the seven year old picked up her first career BIS.  As a Ruth Gordon said after winning her first Oscar at age 72, “you can’t imagine how encouraging a thing like this is.”  Now with BACK2BACK BISs & 22 career Group Ones, Sofia must be feeling mighty encouraged.

MIDLAND MICHIGAN KC DAY TWO

The Midland Michigan Kennel Club finished up early in Midland MI today.  Mary Ann Kniola  welcomed to her final the Gordon Setter, GCH CH Sastya’s Eleven Eleven, the Longhaired Dachshund, GCH CH Insight’s Illusionist SL, the Giant Schnauzer, GCH CH Skansen‘s Guilin Garbo V Armstg, the Bedlington Terrier, GCH CH Kaylynn‘s Party Crasher, the Japanese Chin, GCH CH Pem We-Syng Lucky Mi, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Jaset’s Satisfaction, and a Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Quiche‘s Grand Finale.  

She chose the nation’s Number One Non-Sporting Dog, the Standard Poodle, London, as her Best.     London is currently holding down the Number Nine Dog All Breeds spot with 16 BIS this year.

APPLE VALLEY KENNEL CLUB 1

We wish all the moms out there a Happy Mothers’ Day and hope all of you are being fawned upon by loving children, both human & canine.  Before we get into today’s results we bring you results from Victorville CA where the Apple Valley Kennel Club is set up for two days.  

Saturday’s final had Lou Guerrero choosing his Best of the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Dogwdcreek's La Vite E Belle, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Quiet Creek’s Kiss and Tell, the Boxer, GCH CH R and G’s Mystical Dancedr, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, GCH CH Angranian Derry Mucker, the Pomeranian, GCH CH CR Chase What Matters, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH PaRay’s Power & Privilege, and the Canaan Dog, GCH CH Pleasant Hill Magnum Of Samara.  

His BIS was the GSP, Bella.  It’s her second of the year and her second in the last two weeks.  I think she’s got it.
