The Number One Non-Sporting Dog, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Jaset’s Satisfaction, recused himself, as the 2011 AENC winner tonight.  Leaving Gene Mills’ Non-Sporting Group up for grabs.  The dog who grabbed it was the Spanish Standard Poodle, Del Zarzoso Salvame From Afterglow.  Rounding out the group placements were the Tibetan Spaniel, GCH CH Kan Sing's Tenzin, the Schipperke, GCH CH Dante Fire When Ready, and the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Vaje's Jethrene Bodine.

GCH CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction

The Number One and Number Two Sporting Dogs may have opted for other venues Saturday night, but there were still six of the Top Ten Sporting Dogs present in Terry Stacy’s Sporting Group, including the Top Sporting Dog of all time, the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Casablanca’s Thrilling Seduction.  The four he liked the most were the Cocker, Beckham, the Clumber Spaniel. GCH CH Clussex Collaboration with Traddles, the Irish Water Spaniel, GCH CH Whistlestop’s Riley on Fire, and the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Dogwdcreek’s La Vita E Belle.

Our Number Five and Number Six Dogs All Breeds, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari, and the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, both stayed in town hoping to get a pass to tomorrow’s AENC final from Toy group judge Virginia Lyne.  The dog she sent up was the Affenpinscher, Joey.  Picking up the second, third, & fourth awards were the MinPin, Classie, the Pug, GCH CH Caper’s Sirius Endeavor, and the Papillon, GCH CH Involvo The King of Pop.

CH Shiraz California Dreaming

Our opener at tonight’s AENC Hound Group was judged by Carla Molinari.  Despite missing the country’s Top Two Hounds, this group was full of international glamor.  Finishing one-two-three-four were the Swedish Saluki, CH Shiraz California Dreaming, the Swedish Pharaoh Hound, GCH CH Fauziah Faramir, the Thai 13” Beagle, GCH CH Bougain’E Naughty-and-Lovely Alvin, and the American Afghan Hound, GCH CH Thaon’s Mowgli.

GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici

As we told you below, some of our top dogs are in Cleveland OH hoping to grab the last of the points of the year.  The final at the day two show of the Richland Kennel Club was called by Kimberly Meredith-Cavanna who chose her top two from the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, the Harrier, GCH CH Downhome Hitech Innovator, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici, the Russell Terrier, GCH CH Goldsands Columbus, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Hallmark Jolei Bells Will Be Ringing, the Keeshond, GCH CH Ruttkay Chance, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Grey Pines’ Christie.

GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova

Reserve went to the Springer, Peyton, and Best In Show went to the Doberman Pinscher, FiFi.  FiFi’s 46th BIS of the year assures she will finish the year as the Number Three Dog All Breeds.

We are sitting at the press table here in the Orange County Convention Center arena awaiting the Hound Group judging at the 12th Annual AKC/Eukanuba National Championship, but neither of the Top Two Hounds will be here.  The Number One Hound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box, was in Allentown PA, picking up the big rosette at the Lehigh Valley Kennel Club show while the Number Two Hound, the Harrier, GCH CH Downhome Hitech Innovator was in Cleveland OH collecting a Group One at the day two show of the Richland Kennel Club.

Also missing from tonight’s groups will be the Number One Dog All Breeds, the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, who took the Sporting Group today in Allentown, and the Number Two Dog, the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, who followed suit in Cleveland.  We will see the Number One and Two Toy Dogs tonight, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari, and the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare.

But don’t despair.  Connie francis Might have thought that Florida was where the boys are, but tonight it's were the dogs are.  We have seen plenty of talent here in Orlando during the past three days. We will bring you the excitement as it happens.  We do expect some surprises.
