The Big Apple Sporting Society, the all toy dog Progressive Dog Club, the Non-Sporting Group Club Of The Garden State, and the Herding Group Association of New Jersey, all got a head start Thursday on the all breed action in Edison NJ.  On Friday the rest of the groups joined Ron Menaker for his final at the New Brunswick Kennel Club’s opener.

The seven who made it to the BIS ring were the English Springer Spaniel, Legacy Random Titleist, the Saluki, GCH CH Bay Watch Babe Von Agrani, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek Impression de Matisse, the Colored Bull Terrier, GCH CH Banbury Bedrock Bright Star Bright, the Havanese, GCH CH Harbor’s Sky-Blue Pink, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Vogelflight’s “Honor” to Pillowtalk, and the Rough Collie, GCH CH Devinwood’s A Perfect Stranger.

His BIS was the country’s Number One Working Dog, the Portie, Matisse.  His RBIS was the Bull Terrier, Yum Yum.   Matisse and handler Michael Scott have been on a tear since their Group One win at last month’s Westminster Kennel Club show.  They have collected six BIS in 19 final appearances this year.  Good enough to make Matisse the Number Four Dog All Breeds.
