CORGI TWO'FER IN GRIDLEY CA

We have one more multiple BIS winner from the weekend to bring to you. Out in the northern California town of Gridley, the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. GCH CH Coventry Allure at Wyndstar, took advantage of the Butte County Kennel Club’s and the Shasta Kennel Club’s four shows, taking Thursday’s opener and Sunday’s closer.

At Thursday’s BCKC day one show Allie and handler Jenny Wornall Rangel were joined in Dr Gareth Morgan-Jones’ final by his Reserve winner, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Quail Garden Loch Lomond Déjà vu, the Golden Retriever, CH Regancy Raise The Bet, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH M&M's Fear The Beard, the Bullmastiff, GCH CH Baron Dye Of Ridgetop, the Airedale Terrier, GCH CH Penaire's Chip Leader at Longvue, and the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Del Zarzoso Salvame From Afterglow.

Allie and the Cavalier, DJ, would be the only of Thursday’s finalists to return to see Dr Steve Keating at Friday’s BCKC final.  They were joined by the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, GCH CH JavaHill Surf2 An 8 Second Ride, the 13” Beagle, GCH CH Bougain'e Naughty-N-Lovely Alvin, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Steinhaus Maxim Courage RN, the Miniature Schnauzer, CH Yanga's All The Time, and the Schipperke, CH Bonchien Park Place.

Judge Keating would go with the Beagle, Alvin, and the Miniature Schnauzer, Time.  It’s the first of the year for Alvin.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Somvorn Adungchongruk and handler Bobby Ott.

The SKC picked it up on Saturday and gave Sherry Swanson an all new seven from which to choose her top two, the English Springer Spaniel, GCH Hil-N-Don & Canyonwood Seemore Of Me, the Saluki, GCH CH Jamora Mystic Topaz JC, the Giant Schnauzer, CH Skansen's Leather & Lace Of Twilight, the Lakeland Terrier, GCH CH Hi-Kel Terrydale Fortune In My Eyes, the Havanese, GCH CH Oeste's Flirt'n With An Outlaw, the Keeshond, GCH CH Summerwind's Rumor Has It, and the Bouvier des Flandres CH Take Aim's Playing For Gryffindor.

Finishing one/two were the Saluki, Sebastian, and the Havanese, Feliz.  It’s the first of the year for the multi BIS winning Sebastian.  Congratulations to breeder/owner/ handler Susan Forsyth and breeders/owners John Forsyth, Kim Anselmo, & Joyce Morrison.

Allie and Jenny would bring it home at Sunday’s SKC show.  They were accompanied in Kenneth Rayner’s BIS ring by his RBIS, the above named Lakeland, the Irish Water Spaniel, GCH CH Whistle Stop's Wind on the Water, the Beagle, Alvin, the Great Dane, CH B & K Sean s Grand Slam V. Paradise, the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Paragons Sharp Dressed Man At Greengates, and the French Bulldog, GCH CH LeBull's El Morocco At LeCirque.

Allie is the Country’s Number One Pembroke and Number Three Herding Dog with three BIS and 24 Herding Groups this year.
