NUMBER ONE MAINTAINS BIG LEAD

We awake this morning to results from the west coast where AKC’s Number One Dog All Breeds, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky, added another BIS to her already impressive resume.  Yesterday’s win came at the day one show of the Lompoc Valley Kennel Club in the town of Lompoc CA, some 150 miles up the coast from Los Angeles.

Judge Stephen Hubbell chose Sky out of a seven than include the Reserve winner, the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Dogwdcreek’s La Vita Belle, the Harrier, GCH CH Downhome Hit4ech Innovator, the Great Pyrenees, GCH CH Karolaska Tor Ruby of Shadowrun, the Japanese Chin, GCH CH Victory Spencer, the Keeshond, GCH CH Summerwind’s Rumor Has It, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Suboja’s Army’s Soldier.

It was the 37^th BIS for Sky and handler Gabriel Rangel.  Sky has maintained a lead of around 10,000 points over the field for over two months now.  If she can make it through the summer with that lead, we think it will be unlikely that anyone can catch her by December, reason enough to enjoy the above video put together by the talented Miguel Betancourt.
