SAT & SUN IN MARQUETTE MI

GCH CH Sastyas Eleven Eleven

The Marquette Kennel Club has completed their three day weekend in that Michigan city.  (See our report on Friday here.)  Judge James White had Saturday’s final and his pick of the Gordon setter, GCH CH Sastyas Eleven Eleven, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Foolish Pride, the Boxer, CH Mantras Caleno Numero Uno, the Norwich Terrier, Janoras Addicted To Love, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Ista’s Just The Way You Are, the Keeshond, GCH CH KJ’s Hot Date, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Stonepillar’s Steel Blu.

Best was the Gordon Setter, Teddy, Reserve the Bouvier, Blue.  Teddy was a precocious youngster, winning the 2011 national specialty of the Gordon Setter Club of America.  However, Gordon Setters are the heaviest of the Setters and tend to just get better with age.   It’s the second BIS of the year for Teddy and handler Mary Grill in six final appearances this year.

Sunday BIS judge Keke Kahn would see the Gordon, Teddy, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Rustic Mahali Its All In the Game, the Bullmastiff, CH Newcastle’s Blame It on The Sun, the Airedale Terrier, Stone Ridge Northern Dancer, the above named Shih Tzu, the Lhasa Apso, CH Hope-Full Hugs Kist By Northwind, and the Briar, GCH CH Lightning Strike El Xargall.
