TOY SPANIEL HAT TRICK

GCH CH LTO Prosperity

This afternoon’s report comes in from the Great Plains.  First, we have a “Betcha never saw this before” moment.  The Ruby & King Charles English Toy Spaniel, GCH CH LTO Prosperity, pulled off the hat trick, three BIS in one cluster, at the Northeast Oklahoma Kennel Club and Bartlesville Kennel Club shows four shows, April 11-14, in Grove OK.

GCH CH Dawin Hearts On Fire

Thursday, BIS judge James Fredriksen preferred Prosperity to the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts On Fire, whom he preferred to the Pointer, CH Chesterhope State of T Art, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Maya’s Mocking Bird, the Newfoundland, CH Numa's Cest La Vie Seabrook, the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, CH Shandalee Fireworks, and the Border Collie, GCH CH F Si A Ge Of Fu You Yuan Kennel.

Friday, judge Fred Bassett, would go with the Pointer, Miley, and the Standard Poodle, Flame, as his BIS & RBIS, while the Pharaoh Hound, Mia's Bakhu Risky Business Of Hallam, the Giant Schnauzer, CH Seven Seas Auroras Adonis, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Skyscots Texas Hold’Em, the Toy Spaniel, Prosperity, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Wolf Creek Galaxy Of Merivern.

The rest of the weekend belonged to Propserity and handler Jeff Wright. Saturday Prosperity and the Pointer, Miley caught the eye of judge Steven Hubbell, while the Ibizan Hound, CH Serandida East So Bigstar, the Giant Schnauzer, GCH CH Skansen’s Harvard, and the previously seen Norwich, Standard Poodle, and GSD.  Judge Don Duerksen would wrap it up on Sunday with Prosperity and Miley as his top two.  Also there at the end were the now familiar Afghan, the Giant, Harvard, the Norwich, Decker, the Standard Poodle, Flame, and the Rough Collie, Windcrest Blown Away.

We rarely get to see a Toy Spaniel win back2back BIS, much less a hat trick.  Hopefully one of you breed specialists can tell us if this is a first time occurrence. The three wins brings to five the number of BIS for Prosperity this year.  Congratulations to Jeff, breeder/owner Mark Landers, and owner Ray J Cole.
