WPG BEST IN MAINE

GCH CH Fireside Spontaneous Combustion

While the country’s Number One Dog All Breeds was in New Jersey on Friday picking up. another BIS, his kennelmate was in Union ME doing the same. The Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, GCH CH Fireside Spontaneous Combustion, started his week taking an RBIS on Thursday.

GCH CH Sonnus Filho (Sanchez)

Joining Buster and handler Michelle Scott in judge Nancy Liebes final were the 15” Beagle, GCH CH Tashtin’s Lookin for Trouble, the Akita, GCH CH CR-Wicca’s Trade Secret, CH Joval Sweet Time, the RBIS, the Smooth Coat Chihuahua, GCH CH Sonnus Filho (Sanchez), the Dalmatian, GCH CH Merry Go Round Coach Master, and the Rough Collie, GCH CH Devinwood A Perfect Stranger.

The win was the first BIS by a WPG since December of 2010 when Buster collect his 11th BIS of the year.  We haven’t seen much of eight year old Buster since his Sporting Group Three win at the 2011 Westminster Kennel Club show. We hope that he stays around for a while so fanciers can get a look at this splendid example of a rare breed. Congratulations to Michelle, breeder/owner Elaine Hunsicker, and Joan Coughlin.
