SHAR-PEI BIS IN FLORIDA

It’s day three of the Florida Marathon and we have our third different BIS winner.  Today’s top dog was the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Shine’s Deck the Halls.  Joining Tinsel and handler Nina Fetter were joined in today’s Inverness Florida Kennel Club final by the Brittany, GCH CH Rainbow Splash’s Ruggedly Handsome, the 15” Beagle, GCH CH Tashtins Lookin For Trouble, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Tiburon Ariel Bella Dona, Judge James Ham’s RBIS, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Shaireab Bayleigh Maid of Honor, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Riverside Telltail Coco Posh.

Tinsel was 2013’s Number Five Non-Sporting Dog with seven BIS and 48 Group Ones.  Congratulations to Nina, breeder/owner Rebecca Pentecost DVM, and owners Deborah & Robert Cooper & Linda Teitelbaum.

CH Hitimes What the Inferno

The West joined the dog show week with yesterday’s Kachina Kennel Club show in Phoenix AZ.  Judge James Reynolds had the day one final of the four show Turquoise Cluster  and his choice of the Clumber Spaniel, CH Clussexx Over The Legal Limit, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Quiet Creek’s Kiss and Tell, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Topaz Bad Action, the Cairn Terrier, GCH CH Hjohoo’s Save The Hjour Love For Me, the Pomeranian, CH Hitimes What the Inferno, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Del Zarzoso Salvae From Afterglow, and the Australian Cattle Dog, GCH CH Vista’s Wait For The Beep Ayt MGK.

His BIS was the Pom, Danny, and his RBIS was the Bloodhound, Kissy.  It was the first AKC all breed BIS for Danny who has already picked up several BIS in Thailand.  Congratulations to breeders Joan D Caracsole & Ashley Carcasole, owners  Bonnie Bird & Udomsin Littichaikun, and handler Curtiss Smith.

PEKE BIS AT NIAGARA FALLS





Niagara Falls may be frozen, but fanciers still showed up at yesterday’s Kennel Club of Niagara Falls show in Hamburg NY.  The seven who made it to judge Olga Gagne’s final were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Cerise Celtic Thunder, the Irish Wolfhound, Pitlochry’s Patrick, the St Bernard, GCH CH Glidden’s Lady Isabella, the Russell Terrier, GCH CH Goldsands Columbus, the Pekingese, GCH CH Pekeden PHD For Schuyler, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Wildrose Raisin’ The Stakes, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Classical’s My Turn.

Finishing one/two were the Peke and the Beardie.  It is the first AKC BIS for the 16 month old Peke, who has already racked up some impressive wins in Canada.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Thomas Curley & Diane Bell and owner Mary Schuyler-Campbell.  We hope to have a photo for you soon.

ENGLISH COCKER BIS IN FLORIDA

It’s just day two of the Florida Marathon, but the competition is already starting to heat up.  The seven dogs that judge Jackie Stacy saw in her final for the Clearwater Kennel Club were the English Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Foxwoods Dublin Diva, the 13” Beagle, CH Tashtins Lookin For Trouble, Great Dane, CH D.S.S. Kings Ransom JP McLaren, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Shaireab Bayleigh Maid of Honor, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, the Tibetan Spaniel, GCH CH Kan Sing Tenzin, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Wolf Creek Galaxy of Merivern.

Best went to the Cocker, Caitlyn, Reserve to the MinPin, Classie.  Caitlin was 2014’s Number One English Cocker Spaniel with one BIS and 11 Sporting Groups.  Congratulations to breeder/owner/handler Kristin Vitti Lyons and owner Deborah Mauterer DVM

The Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, became the first dog of 2014 to hit the century mark, collecting his 100th career BIS at today’s Greater Fredericksburg Kennel Club show in that Virginia city.

Judge Jon Cole also liked the English Setter, GCH CH Weymouths En Fuego, who accepted his third straight RBIS of the stop.  Rounding out the final were the Wirehaired Dachshund, GCH CH Legibach Captain Crunch SW, the Wire Fox Terrier, CH Crispy Legacy, the Toy Poodle, CH Smash Jp beauty and the Beat, the Xoloitzcuintli, GCH CH Bayshore Giorgio Armani, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Lockenhaus Rumor Has It V Kenlyn.

It was the fifth straight BIS this year by 2013’s Number Two Dog All Breeds.   Wonder if he might be 2014’s Number One Dog by Monday?  Our congratulations to breeder.owner Donna Gottdenker, owners Milan Lint & Peggy Helmin, and handler Michael Scott.
